Just FYI, I’m not planning on removing acid’s item-destroying properties specifically because of this thread, it’s just one more instance of a (valid) complaint that the mechanic is ridiculous. Regardless of how lab-grade or even cooking-grade acids react with various materials, it’s pretty absurd for acid produced by an organism to be both as potent as it is against inanimate objects and as innocuous as it is against living tissue. Also the volume thing is a rather large problem, really it’s just a whole pile of silliness that we haven’t gotten rid of because it was part of the status quo.
Hmm. I suppose it’s understandable then. Otherwise, I’m unsure what else should be done to both make it more realistic, and to make it balanced gameplay-wise.
