Why reload sound was removed?

When you add back a reload sound in the generic gun class, in data\json\items\classes:

“type”: “GUN”,

“reload_noise_volume”: 10

Then you hear again reloading sounds for ammo clips, flamethrower. I wonder why this line (in bold) was removed in CDDA vanilla?

I checked the history of that file and it looks like the only gun type which had it was pump action shotgun.

Yes, but if you add this noise to the base gun, then a lot of weapons now get a reloading sound.
