I backed up my save an committed suicide to get the memorial for my most successful character to date. I’ve sort of given up because I lost my car, and all my stuff, to an artifact-related bug.

Wow, You really have quite the character, I’m only on the 6th summer day of my 1st year… and I thought I was doing well.
I mutated enough to be able to carry the tools and I found a welder in a garage, therefore I went on a search for a vehicle. Soon enough, I found two electric cars side by side - one lacked wheels and the other the engine. I simply swapped the engine in and drove it to my base. Time to craft some trunks/cargo spaces into it.
Then I might add a solar panel to an electric scooter nearby and have a quick recon/explore vehicle, too.
Just looted a electronics store for every battery it had, 3600+ battery get.
Edit: also found out Zombies aren’t as scary as they used to be when you’re well equipped.
Especially if you have a Katana.
I accidentally got stuck in a cupboard in a school recently. With an entire hall full of zombies blocking my way out. I got out of there barely scratched because the katana was basically blocking everything. Although I wasn’t killing much. Probably too much encumberance.
Eventually I gave up on the katana, pulled out the M1911 and emptied the corridor in seconds. Holy crap that gun is overpowered.

Well, it helps that I found that katana right off the bat. I also had an awesome car, 3 or 4 cool artifacts, and enough mininukes to conquer a small country. Also Carnivore wasn’t that bad because with Saprovore I could eat rotten meat, which basically means food isn’t a problem.
I’ve got a small problem on my hands…
In a military base with no extra cards and everything is closed off, how does one breach a re-enforced Window with out blowing up a butt load of ammunition on the other side?

No electrohack? That’s what I used to get into the individual rooms. Doesn’t seem to spawn turrets or anything. But then again I had already killed the turrets upstairs after hacking the main door.
Yes its generally safe, pipebombs have a very small explosion radius and are unlikely to damage anything behind the glass, you must throw them in exactly the same spot, but its not necessary to have them explode in quick succession or at the same time
Thanks, I just don’t want a nuclear payload equivalent of ammunition on my hands.
Edit: Got lucky and was able to break into 2 rooms with the 3 I crafted. picked up a good amount of 40mm for the launcher.
