i found explodium turrets in a lab the place where you’d think would want to avoid having explosions.
All turrets and most robots explode on death.

Just found my first ice lab and I survived and made it to -108 F. I was stuck in the barracks and so I lit 10 shotgun shells near the door and I said to myself Ehh I’ve lit 5 before I’ll be fine. I had Torso-: Yeah there goes my sleeping bag.

I was going to ask the same thing 
I’m not entirely sure, but can’t you summon the automated portion of the police force by getting photographed by those eyebot things? I saw one of them buzzing around outside the prison after I looted it via jackhammer but shot it down before anything happened.
