What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I checked vehicle_parts.json on the master branch and could not find them.

I may just be overlooking it, but I don’t think gtaguy made a pull request.

Oh, I thought he meant that he added them to the vehicle.

Just died to a bunch of zombies while braving city size 6, item spawn density 0.1, and monster spawn density 4.0

I can see why people really like this addition.

I guess that i’ll be finishing up my 10K kills character in stable then go and try out experimental some more.

Just got my first plasma gun and lazer pistol
AND I can make the ammo for it, YAY . strength 19 + hydraulic muscles, 1 hit K.O everything, getting up there with rifles and marksman, insanelly dextrous and perspective, all the bionics I have seen so far…(including stat ones) scorpion tail, poisonous, claws, huge fangs. Found a missile silo for the first time, bombed a spore thing hive. Cleared an entire city. I think its time to move on and reduce item spawn with the new version! New objective is to make a scorpion style + scorpion tail and poisonous mutation!

Wandering around the world on my week old, elf-mutant, bow and sword in accord character. Ran into a military supply drop and found some some incendiary 40mm grenades several useful mods including an M203 ; which I promptly added to my pneumatic bolt driver. Rest was some guns and mismatching ammo. I took the ammo to disassemble and left the guns.

Ran into a hazardous waste sarcophagus and settled in after destroying the cleaner bots. Heard some “poufs” and went to look, the spores and fungaloids couldn’t get through the fencing, so I ignored them and continued on with my business. I brought carried a lot of jerky and have a water CBM so I figured I could turtle there for quite awhile.

Big mistake.

After finishing cleaning out the place, turning the bleach into superglue, disassembling ammo, and turning them into explosive bolts. Went outside, the whole place was covered in spores; took my katana and started slaughtering them. After a day of this with no end in sight, I went back in to sleep and contemplated ditching what I couldn’t carry with me and fighting my way out.

Then in my sleep I got the message “NO! You will not allow this corruption to prevail!”.

So I went out with my 4 40mm incendiary grenades with the M203 attachment on my bolt driver.

It’s been 2 game days since then and the surroundings are still burning.

Playing on dynamic spawn with a city size of 1. Started off with two relatively empty Shelters in the vicinity and two houses. One filled with black widows. So far, one Toxic Waste Sarcophagus, a gas station, two labs, and on military bunker. Found a shopping cart along the way somewhere and had to snort some meth to drag it into one of the labs to avoid the acid rain. Fun. I want to head back to the bunker but apparently turrets have a range greater than 1 in darkness now, is it true?

I wouldn’t be so worried I guess, but I’m playing with a Frail character. I always do. v.0.9 1963 g80bbf7b

!
You can add gun mods to a pneumatic bolt driver?

i need to try this brb

The surface of a HWS has a general radiation rating of 10-30ish. You’ll have a random chance to get 1 rad per turn if the radiation level is 16 or higher (I don’t know whether they give partial rad points). You need to have at least 150 rads accumulated before you start taking damage; so that’s a fair amount of time you can spend without any protection.

Furthermore, They almost always have some form of radiation protection like cleansuits or AEP suits, that’ll protect you from ambient radiation of up to 40 so strap one on and you’re good to go…

Power armor (With Helmet), ANPC suits, and Hazmat suits give 100% immunity to radiation.

If you’re like me and have Radiogenic, you can just walk in and get free healing every few turns with no chance of damage.

Pneumatic Bolt Drivers are considered rifles so they can accept anything rifles can equip. The exception being the spare magazine, since they’re a RELOAD_ONE weapon.

I found three goo canisters off dead scientists on Winter 25, right next to a fungal spire. The blobs proceeded to tear through the fungaloids. Pretty good Christmas present.

Of course the next day the field was covered with hostile blobs, so I booked it.

Huh, on that note there’s a single tile house surrounded by 8 vehicles, 4 of those have fully functional electric engines, solar panels, and batteries.

It’s Winter 24th.

I guess Christmas came early for me.

I found the fanciest house ever. One of them new houses.

The kitchen (I think…)

Living room. I took a tv from there… And that fireplace tho.

Random room next to living room

Bathroom

Bathroom across the other

Master bedroom. Found a gun on the table.

A bedroom.

Nice to know that the devs are putting in more variant houses!

I made them spawn in public works, they tank shock damage like a boss but are completely shit to actual damage so you need an assload of plates. They weight X10 times less than frames. But that doesn’t explain how an entire RV made out of them won’t slow down.

Yeah, atomicdryad added that 3 days ago.

Sadly that’s the only new house in the works at the moment, but adding more will presumably be easier since that particular house is defined in a standalone json file.

I have recently discovered the joy of being able to make 40mm Buckshot and Flechette rounds.

Hail to Cacame Baby.

I need to know how to do that. How do you make those?

I recently found a kinetic bullet puller and I have some crappy non lethal 40mm grenades.

Activate the bullet puller.
Select bullet.
Pull said bullets apart.

I meant more do I need extra ingredients to make the flechettes and shot?

Seems 40mm rounds don’t even work for me at the moment… The game crashes when I fire them. At least from my M203…
