What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I really hope that mutagen and purifier don’t have long term side effects. I think I just drank… four gallons or so, combined.

But from those four gallons, comes victory!

They do: minor Health hits each time. Better munch some vitamins and take a vaccine if you have one.

I’m more curious how you managed to get Very Beautiful. That isn’t in any category, last I knew, so the enforcement measures would be selecting against it.

(And Padded Feet definitely isn’t in-category for Bird.)

I was doing the same thing with regular Mutagens I found from science labs before I realized that I could make my own and specialize them by species. I started with the Pretty trait, so maybe that catalyzed it?

EDIT: basically, I’d just down a mutagen and chase it with a Purifier or two if I didn’t like the result. I got lucky, that’s for certain.

I don’t have any vaccines (haven’t seen any yet, though I haven’t spent much time raiding medical facilities), but I take a vitamin or two every day like it suggests on the tooltip, so that should help! I also have the Blood Filter CBM, which has paid off several times now.

Drog finally got the RV fixed up and headed out on a road trip to find a lab in quest of a power supply for his large stash of of cbm’s. Unfortunately he crashed into another building and is now stuck deep inside a large city. The RV still needs some new wheels after repairing the gas tank and all four windshields. He’s nail batting anything that manages to come within range. I’m actually pretty optimistic about the current situation. He’s held off quite a few zombie waves already. Once the RV is fixed, he’s going to continue trying to get out of the city to find a lab. Besides the roadtrip, he’s managed to survive well into winter.

You can do it! Remember that you can haul materials inside the vehicle and shut all the doors, so that you can hide in the back while you do your repair work so zombies won’t sneak up and chew on you while you weld.

There is… was… a triffid grove about 50 tiles from my shelter. I’ve tried assaulting it several times, but every time I’ve limped back without even making it past the vines. I needed a new objective after my victorious acquisition of angel wings, I went on a journey to the far south, where I had found a missile silo in my explorations months ago.

Said triffid grove is now a 5x5 irradiated crater. Slightly irradiated but 100% American Eagles cry Red White and Blue tears as they fly over it, their majestic wings lifted by the atomic thermals. Freedom. Justice. America.

I hadn’t thought to do that. Great idea, thank you.

I am now on a quest to find, or build, flamethrowers to put on my car. Because America needs a hero. And that hero needs a car with turret mounted flamethrowers.

I found a children’s book. I read the description.

I thought about it too much, and may or may not have cried a little on the inside, IRL.
My plan for the children’s book is now complete.

Seriously, that’s why I added it and gave it that description: to make people sad.
Nothing is worst than reading photo albums. The fact that only seeing pictures of someones family in happier times is enough to bring joy really makes the whole cataclysm look much depressing Happy times long gone, indeed

I’m currently rocking a double-capacity modified, laser sight point’n, iron sight improve’n, 40mm spitting pneumatic bolt driver loaded with explosive bolts…

I call her “Sweet 6teen”

I swear the game hates me.

Just noticed a ? moving about inside a cube van. Opened the back and a Bobcat jumped out and killed me.

I swear the game hates me.

Me too. I went to sleep in my barricaded evac shelter, when i woke up a bear was trashing all doors and windows!

why bear? why you do this to me?

I’ll let the pic speak for itself.

Then they’re working exactly as intended.

Damn you, Rivet, for giving this game an emotional aspect! Now I’m gonna have to burn every children’s book I find.

I feel this would go well in a sig, my sig.

On topic:
Got murdered by basement zombies despite blackroad being off and a clean install.

Rolled a new char, I think the RNG is up to something, the basement this time had a couple of Z’s which I killed and discovered that the basement is full of loot!

Well, as I was running through town gathering supplies to fortify my boarded up apartment a giant worm borrows through the ground towards me. Which was really a shock because there wasn’t a single swamp within a million paces of me, not even on my world map. I shot it (stupidly) and ran off, right into the waiting bosom of a zombie hulkette, turns out that a single punch to the chest kersploded me because one sawn off shotgun blast just isn’t enough.

My fool-of-loot basement was, well, like Oprah - concerned with my ill-being. It spawned fifteen z-dogs and a couple of regular greens. Though it’s fun enough to try and create a funnel with those metal racks for them to swoop in one by one, and there was some Adderal to go with when I spotted all’o’em - it ended miserably. I hope it was their last meal because I imagined I was a Kobold. No, wait, Oprah looks like a toad here, so a Giant Frog then.

Finally found and bothered to pick up a children’s book, it didn’t depres me, just reminded me of the The Dark Tower series…

…I need a trenchcoat and some fancy fucking revolvers.

Nah, you need a modded shotgun.

Scatterifle. XD …And I don’t need either of those, I need to read the last few books…
