Can I wear clothes with it, too? If so, that’s awesome! I have two suits in my armor trunk and more plutonium cells than you can believe. MMR is in need of some extra power and that might just be it.
The acid defense on rivtech armor is what makes me wear it when fighting in citys. Even if not turned on its enough to protect against just about every z safe hulks and hunters.
That’s awesome! And RM13 armor can be refitted now, too! And the radiation and acid protection, amazing! Goodbye heavy survivor suit, hello RM13!
they removed night vision from this suit? because i hated to use it just because ot this night vision
They did, no more night vision.
i need to find new set of rivtech armor, i just leaved it somewhere in lab two worlds ago
Im playing a 3 man story Powers has stranded in a town, cause his car had a fuel leek. he doesnt have tools to bring back the loot. Case has found a thermosuit so hes out exploring. Humpwell is clearing out a big city, since he found some weapon cache
We need automated casinos.
Also, I found an Glowing Pin artifact. It’s a Wand of Explosions. It’s pretty rad.
EDIT: Taking into account the fact that I just grew dog ears, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this artifact is, indeed, quite rad(ioactive).
I found out that the encouragement the slimespawns give adds a stacking morale boost for each one. That’s pretty nifty. Still almost starved to death from losing more nutrition than I was taking in as they seemed to spawn whenever I assimilated food. Hate to say it but I actually had to go into debug and remove Omnicellular, the automatic spawn feature was just too damned frequent/dangerous. Gonna tweak the JSON to see if I can make it a little more user friendly (like maybe limit it to only the activated ability).
Was working on my new motorcyle at a rest stop, all through the night. Didn’t realise that I was freezing in the autumn night and scrambled indoors before I froze over. I really wanted to get back to working on my bike, but I didn’t have any warm clothing on me.
However, I DID happen to have a dinosaur suit stuffed into my bike’s rear cargo hold…
Sure is hard holding this wrench with these puny Trex arms.
I loooooooove my new RM13 combat armor! Turns out I have three, though only one fits. I put a reactor expansion in it and now it can hold 20 plutonium cells, which is 10000 charges. I have almost 700 plutonium cells. I will be fine on power. And it even has more storage than the heavy survivor suit I put in the trunk!
I took on a military outpost taken over by raiders. RM13 armor is good, but it doesn’t really stand up to M4A1 shots at nearly point blank range. Thank you Teleportation CBM and A7 laser rifle for getting me out of yet another fix. Also I have 7 useless former captives to feed, so I’m making some weapons so they can be less useless.
Looting out a new city with my MP5 and Longsword. Based on the roads off my map, I figure that at the end of this length of road is a lab, so I’ve been stocking up equipment in anticipation. Got into a gunfight with an NPC that ended when I popped a smoke grenade, rushed into the smoke same time as he did (Always wear a gas mask while looting, great little tool), and unloaded a full auto burst into him with the MP5. Worth it though, I’ve now got a block of C4 for entry into the base if no other tools materialize to do the job with. Never actually used C4 before.
Looting is starting to become more selective though. I’ll either need to refit more of my vehicle, or just accept the space that I’ve got, and stop gathering food. Hell, in my last town, I actually had to dump a pile of arms to clear space in my weapons storage. Dropped all the duplicates of my collection. There’s a good forty or fifty arms there, in a basement, marked as a weapons cache.
First time I’m gonna have a character loot a lab though. Don’t really know what to expect, so trying to stock up everything I can. Medikits, morphine, found something for use with a Rivtech stimulant injector, and otherwise preparing everything I can manage. I’m gonna laugh if it turns out to be completely empty, or far easier than expected.
You say that you have RM13 armor and A7 laser rifle, but no gun and ammo pile where you can arm your meatshields?
For the longest time I played without NPCs at all. I never had to collect weapons because I only needed one gun and one sword.
Just tried creating a character in a PK mod world.
Spawned in the middle of a heavily forested region but in a stocked evac shelter. I recruited the NPC and we headed off, checking out an orchard first but not finding much.
Then I wandered north, only to be ambushed by a “confident in its stride” bear and decided to use the NPC as a meat shield. He died horribly and I escaped. I spotted a motel and figured that I had finally found my safe haven, only to see a chicken walker right in front of it blowing up the zombies. So that was out.
I wandered further north past an anthill, carefully avoiding drawing aggro from any ants, and picked up a nice L-Stick from a scientist corpses event area.
That’s when things stated to go south, as I started encountering fungus. I tried to avoid it but was attacked by a “sickly-looking wolf”. I didn’t think too much of it but the description neglected to mention that it was a fungal wolf and even though it only managed to attack me once before I put it down, it infected me with fungus, slowing me down by 10% and making me periodically feel ill.
Feeling not so good about my chances of survival and forced off my main path by the sight of a wandeirng horde on my world map, I stumbled off a side road as the sun began to set. I turned on my light, only to be met face to face with an office building and a pack of zombies that came with it. I probably would have risked standing and fighting, infection be damned, but there was a brute and there was no way I was going to be able to handle that thing. So I made one last-ditch attempt to flee northeast into the city, only to be surrounded and torn to pieces.
I don’t know if I just got extremely unlucky with the spawn (starting near fungals is always a bad time, and a chicken walker that early? seriously?) or if PK’s mod is just that brutal, but it was an extremely demoralizing and short run.
I just found 4 2 million dollar cash cards in a row
What sorcery is this?
Well, both from the sound of it. Yes it can be brutal but that’s a lot of unlucky too.
Fire scares the bear, I wish we could cauterize fungal wounds, ants were nerfed in omnipotence to what you saw but motels and office buildings have always been bad for brand-new characters.
Lstick is a good weapon but without a car it’s a hard knock life if you lack armor or skill. Try getting armor before wandering into town. Use sound and fire to scare mammalian life, and fire to kill persistent zoms. Stay away from spawning centers of Zed’s before you are kitted for bear and remember most insects have good hearing and smell but bad eyesight.
Fungal areas aren’t 100% safe and I’ll nerf frequencies of infected wildlife in fungal mongroups
