So I’m walking along in the Cataclysm and
Short Story

my mom tries to sell me meth.

suddenly I hear “Hey Traveler, wait up!” So after tense negotiations I manage to keep my weapon and engage in conversation. Once I hit the trading screen is when I first notice the name. It’s the same name as my mom and whats worse is she has two things to trade, one is methamphetamine. Thank you RNG for having now sent all my family to the Cataclysm at one point or another.

Wow, depressing thought. What if you were the sole survivor to an apocalypse and the closest thing you can get to human interaction is to play an old handheld rpg game or such.

So I finally went and downloaded Cataclysm again and began the adventures of Seal, swordswoman extraordinaire! With broadsword and crossbow in hand, she… Went and killed some zombies… Then she returned to her shelter to find the NPC splattered against the walls of the shelter. I’ve gone to investigate, but the culprit is long gone.
You’ll be missed, NPC McForgotYourName.

Started up a Hobo on Hardcore. Stumbled around town a little while, Saw a few Dark Wyrms. Eventually left town, Found a BUBBLE CAR! HELL YEAH! First time finding a mini reactor. Was pretty psyched. Got in, went for a drive. Got too close to a town. Sped off (At 48 kmph, the engine was a bit of a bust) Drew in more zombies. Crashed into a tree. Surrounded by like 5 Shocker zombies, a number of spitters and others… Needless to say I didnt last long

Man, I don’t even know how I died… Cruising down the road in my car doing 50. It’s all heavily plated. The gas tanks at at the center of the car. Manage to fumble the wheel and tag a wreck I was passing all of a sudden there is an explosion and I’m dead…

Gas Tank blew, happens to me all the damn time. Also, get ready to figure out what to do with the points you may or may not have given to Android before.

I’ve downloaded the current experimental. Being unable to continue my 22 09 save has left me sad, but then I remembered debug mode.

Simply put, I used it to re-create my 22/09 character and now I’m sticking Zeds full of arrows. I wish I had some fletching.

Just updated the game, tried to run it and was forced to delete my graceful zweihander guy.

Got my vehicle built, rolled into the edge of good sized town only to run out of gas.

Now I’m fighting street to street siphoning gas from wrecks trying to get the Bread Sled to the gas station on the opposite end of town. Currently I’m draining enough gas from each vehicle in a 5 map-block sized line to move the Bread Sled 5 map blocks closer to the Gas station

I’m regretting four engines already, if there’s so much as one area light on vehicles this could be bad XD Though if it weren’t for the Pneumatic Bolt Driver I’d probably be dead already.

Just wandering around dragging my shopping cart OF DEATH which is loaded with guns, ammo, explosives and all that fun stuff with me. I know where i can find a vehicle so I’m heading that way and will then set my shopping cart OF DEATH on fire so that it can die a suitable death (i have no welder so i can’t bring it with me, sadly). Oh and also I’m wearing cat ears and a cat tail.

Oh, i hadn’t thought of that. I’ll do that then. It’s served me well and also just getting the damn thing was hell and i don’t really want to destroy it after all of that effort.

Started up an experimental build, and promptly died a bunch of times. I seem to be really unlucky with special zombie spawns on the fringe of towns, not even one house in.

Varies, some as small as a tight cluster of roughly 5 square, to sprawling complexes with sub ‘townships’ and suburbs. I’m used to running into normal zombies before, though I suspect its either something in the code or a setting default.

Specials show up ( I think) 3-6 tiles from the center, and of course at the center. That is probably why.

Spawned naked close to regional school. Killed a lot zombie children almost died trying using makeshift crowbar. After clearing whole school, locked myself in library learning how to make combustion engine, japanese armor and weapons, some killing techniques, and how to sell it to anyone while cooking some Italian food. Then summer came and it was time to move to loot the city. And right on the edge of town I’ve found working Armored Car with turrets but no gasoline. Now it’s on and running it’s time for some serious action in city with my trusty nailbat and using chitin armor for protection.
