What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?
Ukraine? Okay, I can see that. But still, this is supposed to be the eastern shore of the US; New Jersey, maybe.

I raided some libraries for skill books. I found To Serve Man. I don’t know what I should be more disturbed about: That it is actually a cookbook, or that you can learn recipes from it.
Actually i live in Brazil

Oh. Brazil. That makes even more sense.

I didn’t see the Chernobyl part. Or the Prypiat part. I tend to miss things in plain sight. It’s a wonder I’ve survived the apocalypse this long.

Whilst attempting to raid the town, I attracted the attention of a nearby school. After slaughtering dozens of zombie children and picking through their corpses (one had crack, and another had a bondage suit, must have been one awkward show and tell), I decided to check out the schools library and found some pretty heavy reading for a bunch of kids: something on the art of japanese armorsmithing, the cannibals’ cookbook, and a russian guide to knifefighting. No wonder these children are so twisted.

That also happens in Brazil, where kids murder their parent’s and then suicide.

I’m serious, check this out: http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2013/08/08/brazilian-boy-kills-family-goes-to-school-as-normal-and-later-kills-himself/

Today nothing happened in my apocalypse.

More of like last weeks Cataclysm but me and the first NPC I’ve seen went into a town. Me being my normal self trying to break into the nearest house notices that my NPC buddy is nowhere to be seen and the sounds of battle filling up my log. Looking over I saw my buddy trying (and winning) to fight a park load of zombies. So I being the man I am not I wait then rush over there to help but before I get there he gets killed.

RIP Dominic Miller
Killer of a moose and 4-5 child zombies.
His weapon was a rock.

My char is doing all right, gathering up materials to eventually leave the evac shelter and live in the forrest, Bear Grylls style. ( Still haven’t found any snake skins to store body fluids for later use though, the search continues.)

He also managed to Unload a plastic bottle of water in the doorway to the shelter, so now the door can’t be closed, because its blocked by the water. I’m rubbing my gray’s to try and figure out a solution to his predicament but the only thing I can think about is burning the mother-loving place down and call it a day. I say, must have been one hell of a bottle…

Find a mop and apply it to the water.

Found a wedding dress on one.

Or as an alternative and way more awesome way, you could throw an acid bomb at it and watch as it slowly melts

(it even gets damaged!)

Wow, Really? Amazed that the mob works!

So, ah… in order to make things more challenging for myself, I created a new game and decided to imagine myself as the guy I’m playing. Why? So that I don’t go cleanse towns left and right from Day 2. It’s really easy to go on a crusade when one’s not emotionally attached to the character one’s playing, as you all know.

That said, Cataclysm hates me. Really hates me. As soon as I boarded up the evac shelter, my stomach grumbled and my throat was dry so I set for the mansion a few map tiles to the north-east. The first thing I saw when I broke into the mansion of a room was a zombie. Two, actually. No weapon (kinda forgot to take one), and two zombies.

There were a pile of items between me and the zombies so I quickly went there. Do you know what I found? A frigging katana, a spiral stone, and a bunch of drugs. What the?! Then I got ambushed by a dozen more zombies, which the katana took care of. The mansion was brimmed to the stock with food and cargo pants as well. I also found socks. >.> Later that day, I ventured to the city and found a number of dead military men on the road half-way, with guns. So much for roleplaying. XD

Was murdered by a lonely moose inside my mobile home. ):

Playing as a shower victim, I went into the city to find some clothes, ended up clearing half the city naked with my martial prowess!
Why shoot a zombie when you can just punch it to death?

Why punch a zombie when you can melt it’s eyes with your majestic man/womanhood?

My rolling mutigen lab is currently parked outside a regional school.

I’m enjoying this too much, I think I’ll burn it down when I’m done…

Puffing Cigar, drinking canteen coffee, and making EMP Grenades. :stuck_out_tongue:

So I ran to the nearby town with my new found FTK-93 “Fusion” gun excited to try it out. I slide my flatbed to a stop in a mob of zombies, pull out my fancy new rifle which I had concientiously loaded ahead of time (shows 2 in the chamber and took 2 from my fusion pack). I draw a bead on the closest zed, pull the trigger and hear “wah-wah-wah”. I look down at the status display on the side of the rifle and it reads “You need a UPS with at least 5 charges or an advanced UPS with at least 3 charges to fire that!”. Luckily I was in front of a gun store. I crashed through the door, grabbed the nearest .45 and barely escaped alive with a pile of monsters at my feet.

So I got back to base, grabbed a UPS, turned it on and fired a round into a spider corpse. Glowing plasma in a 3x3 that faded but the corpse was untouched. Hmmm… Guess I need a live test subject.

Just made 2 Gallons of purifier, 4 Gallons of Insect Mutigen, 4 Gallons of Spider Mutigen, and a spare 3 gallons of regular Mutigen to create a very carefully balanced horrifying Wasp/Spider hybrid.

Only to discover winter is coming and “Cold Blooded” is the only one of three mutations I don’t want and I’m not gonna play Mutation Rollet with purifier trying to get rid of Cold Blooded and a few others but keep the rest. XD
