What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Mark that spot! Come back with a shopping cart. Preferably one with a trunk (or cargo space) welded in place of the basket. Ammo basements are wonderful, if nothing else for raw materials.

Whew! Oh, man. Military outpost raids have gotten a lot more exciting since grenadiers were pushed, and even more profitable with the Vehicle Additions mod. Tackled the turrets with scrambler and EMP grenades. I was hoping to be able to just waltz right up to the scrambled ones and deactivate them, but they were milspec, so no such luck. They did do a good job of blowing themselves and other turrets up, though. The best thing about it is that I was able to get a few deactivated turrets anyway, courtesy of a fortuitous EMP grenade. Now I’m scavenging a fire control system from one and keeping the other. Also found power armor, complete with advanced UPS! Two suits of the basic. I already have a basic helmet, so all I need is a hauling frame. Or, y’know, not. And yes, I do happen to have plutonium cells.

Speaking of the grenadiers, I had to face just one. Fortunately, it only tried to hit me with a flashbang hack. Ended up just stunning itself, since I have Anti-glare Compensators and the ANBC suit. Most exciting was when the jerk dropped two active grenades and one active tear gas grenade. Felt properly awesome when I scooped up all three and chucked them out the door and watched them blow up from a safe distance. Fortunately, it also dropped the corresponding inactive hacks. Of course, then I got to face a bio-operator. My karate was stronger than his. That’s where I got my second set of power armor from. Also got a Power Storage Mk. II and an Offensive Defense System CBM from its corpse. All in all, a highly satisfying raid.

Well, nice. I found the two other V12s I needed, both somewhat close to each other. Max safe speed was 120mph while acceleration was 12mph. And then I figure, might as well, and drove to where the slightly battered but serviceable road roller was and took five rollers. I removed the composite rams, then added them again in front of the rollers because why not?

It added a ton more weight to the Sluggernaut, reducing it’s max safe speed to 95 and acceleration to 9, which is still a lot better than its speed before the V12s.

Hmm, about six map tiles of forest is the limit before something gets torn off the Sluggernaut. Namely, the heavy duty frames holding the roller drums together. Two got smashed apart, so I had to reverse back to base to get replacements and then drive back to where the smashing happened to attach the roller drums, which were undamaged. The military composite rams in front of the rollers are damaged, but not destroyed.

Either way, it’s good. The car stayed straight without swerving so a clear path was made, and soon I’ll reach a LMOE shelter I wanna explore. Still 20 map tiles of forest to go, and it should be easy to make a path if I stop for repairs every 4 to 5 map tiles. It’s real easy to repair as well, since I got a welding rig on the Sluggernaut and it’s batteries only uses a tiny amount for the repairs.

Hmm. Armor-plate your drums, I guess? o3o

Everything is armor plated. The drums don’t get damaged, and the composite armor doesn’t get much damage either, but the heavy duty frame that holds both together is the one taking the beating. As I recall, the composite armor is around three times more durable than the frame, while the drum is about 6-7 times more durable than the frame. So, unless there’s a better frame, I’ll require repairs often because if the frame goes the plating and the drum gets detached from the vehicle.

Anyways, due to the repairs, the time it took for me to reach the LMOE shelter is more or less the same amount of time it took would take my survivor to go on foot. On the other hand, the return journey is real fast and smooth; as the trees and other wildlife has been knocked over, I can just speed straight back to base with no hassle. Going back on foot would have been longer.

Ah, I see. Almost wish that military composite plating could be jury-rigged into a frame.

In any case, glad that some people are enjoying the tank cannons. Apologies if the decision to shift the driver camera to the commander’s seat hinders things, though.

666th page? Well done, chaps.
We should really make hell-mouths a thing, just for things like this.

Hmm, it seems that using blood filter while being real drunk removes the debuffs, but handily keeps the morale bonus.

Azrad did it. Quick, go get a space marine. o3o

Huh. So I decided to take the step towards Fey. Took some purifiers first to clear out all the non-fey mutations; though poison resistant was left around. Made the elf serums, only had enough for 4 serums as there was only 8 bird eggs available.

So, the elf serums are used. Amazingly, all four are all positive traits; no negatives except maybe for pointy ears as the color text for that wasn’t green. Very strong, very dextrous, very little sleep, fey vision, and several others. Didn’t even save scum, as I was prepared to do in case my survivor got hollow bones.

To celebrate, I will make my survivor drink one of each type of booze available - and to generally stay alive I’m using blood filter to flush out all the alcohol per drink. Generally just to see how much morale can be acquired.

Bliss, absolute bliss. Except for boozeberry. The Elf mutant survivor is also part-dwarf.

And the bliss also gives him temporary powers of a demigod.

You’ve become a dwarf-elf. A Dwelf? An elorf?

Holy carp, go get a warhammer. Your character has the potential to become Cacame.

I know I temporarily feel like a demigod after sampling the entirety of a well stocked bar.

Unrelated note. Am I the only one that thinks the RM13 combat armor is actually just the black power ranger’s outfit?

I can only assume that a tileset is to blame. o3o

I added a little extra; all the non-booze drinks, and sampling the entire cannibal kitchen. Gourmand skill pretty much made it possible. Added an extra 1000 morale, put strength somewhere around 50-60 without hydraulic muscles.

Was worried the high would go away soon, so I debug spawned a shoggoth and used boxing to uppercut it to death. No bionic claws, monomolecular blades, or any knuckle weapons.

Never used one, but it all adds up.

Non-ridged power armor that offers more protection when ‘powered up’–morphin’ if you will ((even if you won’t)) into a mightier armor. I can only assume every gunshot or punch causes a shower of sparks.

Probably helps that I’m either punching monsters or zapping them with a laser gun while wearing it.

…I’mma need to build a zord.

Now we just need a “teenager with attitude” trait.

Anyways, after the shoggoth squash the bonuses dropped down fairly quickly. Ah well, it was a good celebration for reaching Fey. Maybe I’ll get this done again later on, at every first day of Spring, when the winter ground tiles turn back to normal.

See if you can arrange for that morale boost with a huge horde nearby. X3

Seems possible. Drinking before a fight would be easy enough, but maintaining the morale buzz during the battle would be trickier. I’ll need to store all sorts of booze in different containers, so at the very least I’ll need some storage gear, or alternatively cart around all the booze in a wheelbarrow. Guns would be fun with the perception bonus, but melee would be a lot more so, with the right style. I’m thinking niten with a quarterstaff of a katana, or a morningstar with ninjutsu.
