Is it weird that i dont just take my profession as a set of starting stuff? I like to get in to the head of my character and it usually influences the way i play. For example my SWAT and police chars usually establish some form of order, my scientists continue research with mutagen stuff and my one knight i made was a chivalrous wanderer with a metal steed before he was killed by three shocker brutes. Any interesting ideas for my next char?

I nabbed the newest experimental so i think i am gonna play as the last member of the order of the Cleansing Flame. Time to cleave and smite, remove heretic and rebuild the order with lighter eating unstable NPC psychopaths.

My survivor has a severe alcohol addiction. Cravings every hour, as well as hallucinations. Still a master shot with the rifle even when wasted. Because she was drunk, she thought it was a good idea to get several shots from the stem cell machine without broken limbs just to see what happens. Aside from the pain, nothing.

Still amazingly healthy for most part thanks to leukocyte breeder spamming. Slow healer, but heals pretty much all wounds after sleeping due to it.

Victor Saltzpyre started his holy quest of cleansing in a strange grove. Obviously not yet prepared for the challenges down in those depths, he left to regroup elsewhere. However he got stared at by a damn eye several times during a lengthy battle with a krek. He escaped to a nearby curious structure, but now feels all fucked up and is hallucinating and stuff. Anyone know how long this will take to fade?

Just for fun. By accident I went to a military outpost I cleared out… and that place had gathered a horde due to the shooting done at the time. Lots of hulks. Went to work with the RM232 IDW; managed to kill off at least 30 hulks by burst firing them with the handgun while running several tiles away to reload, or if the hulks come too close. After 500+ bullets, I ran out and switched to the desert eagle… which was somewhat terrible because of high recoil and dispersion even with mods.

Wanted to finish up since survivor is tired, so I switched to the battle rifle, as I left the G3 back at base.

Just for fun, I made sure to put my survivor in waster status first.

Some survivors are drunken fighters. Mine is a drunken sniper. Didn’t even move, and the hulks didn’t even get a chance to find out where my survivor was.

Also, after a few encounters using the desert eagle, I’m changing my mind about it a little. In comparison to the IDW, it’s pretty bad with the high dispersion and recoil, as well as low range, but it’s good very nice damage output. The damage of the standard ammo is slightly higher than regular 8x40 caseless, which works well enough against most Zs. Even a hulk can be killed with it, though with a lot more moving about than normal.

Oh this shall be Fun. Also, about the staring. It dissipates over time, but it depends on how many times you got hit with it. More stares means more duration, and more duration also affects what symptoms can randomly show up. If it rolls fungus infection, better hope you found antifungal drug, fungicide, royal jelly, or a red potion. ;w;

Did not get a fungal infection, thank god. Victor ended up stumbling freezing cold from the curious structure to a nearby LMOE shelter. He made a makeshift knife, smashed most of the bed, and made enough extra clothing to stave off the cold and make a makeshift pot. Cooked some wolves that attacked him outside and spent a rather comfortable night down there.

Next day he took all the supplies he could (including a MP5) and set out back to the curious structure. In the basement he encountered some horrible creatures that he could not seem to hit, so he left swearing to return as soon as he could obtain a holy sword. All he needs now is some gold and a full set of metalsmithing materials. Piece of cake right?

Also are there stovepipe hats in the game? The helm is nice but i would love to give him even more of a witch hunter asthetic if possible

Day 46, spring.
My alter ego is now heavily mutated thanks to two trips into town and making tainted tornado. I think I’ll abstain from making more as I have no wish to savescum (more) and I don’t want to wreck her up. (Yes, I did savescum but then I always do so when doing mutations or CBMs, there’s too many ‘U SUCK’ results.)

I killed a second brute last night with almost no problems. Krav maga works wonders, whether with fists or with tanto. I also found an anvil, but still no welder.
Made myself a chair next to a bench (stacked with books) close to a window, so that I can read and be cosy.

Huh. Is the durability of cars against trees been tweaked? Managed to plow through 7 map tiles of forest and got through damaged, but not that damaged. Only one floodlight got destroyed, while the other parts were at worst light green, and one yellow.
