I have been playing the MGS mod and I had spawned into a large town with no zombies! I am living the life! I later ran over a survivor with my new flatbed truck because he didn’t want to join my team. I now have a nice gun and some bionics to install! >:D
Also, The safehouse survivor decided to kick a bear, didn’t work out to well.

There has never been proof that HIV causes AIDS or is able to cause anything? or that there have never been proof that AIDS is caused by a virus?
If you do not believe this then please don’t chew off my head, just show me the original article that tells this. scientific articles only please.[/quote]

“It’s super effective!”
Back on topic… I got ninja’d by a rabid house bear while suffering from withdrawls from 4-5 substances. That asshole spawned in my house and the only weapon i had was Molotov (never go anywhere without one… ever.)

I have finally cleared my starting town of most zeds, took about 12 days and a thousand arrows. A bit disconcerting at the end since I discovered that the town I was in is precisely the one where the portal to the netherworld erupted in my previous game. No sign of any flaming eyes in the corner of town where they came from, and they’re not popping from the rock walls while I’m underground, but I plan on leaving as soon as possible. I had left the corner a relative haven of zeds, but due to the all the commotion in the borders around that area, I think I might have lured the rest of them out already.
I’m currently building a motorcycle at the opposite end of town in a bid to migrate away (and find a town with a freaking gas station for once). I aim to look for labs since I have the robust genetics trait and I seek to put it to good use.
New version, new game, static spawns.
Upon starting I was put right next to a swamp and river and thought that it was going to be a bad start, as soon as I left to explore a little town not far away I learned that luck is with me on this adventure.
First house had a lighter, backpack x2, rope and aspirin. Took it all back plus as much food as I could carry to the shelter to make a bow and get ready for another run, in a single afternoon I cleared the tiny village, pharmacy had plenty of medication as well as the garage having everything I need for construction plus a sweet 6.13L v8! woot.
Grabbed all essentials and packed it into a single house which I have declared my new home.
Things are looking good, I’ll clear around the town completely to make sure I got every last zed and start work on a rocketbike, I still can’t help but feel that with how easy my start in this world is that something bad is coming to make me think twice.
Let’s hope not.
So I decided to drink myself into a stupor (as in, the entire bottle of Vodka) because I needed an empty bottle for a molotov. Somehow, my character skipped getting Alcohol Poisoning but was able to vomit up her internal organs to the point that she went from Full and Slaked to Nearly Starving and Extremely Parched. Apparently this turned her into a block of ice because she then started getting frostbite everywhere and freezing to death despite it being 57 degrees F and being bundled up, and it took her about 3 hours to get to the bedroom door. After drinking enough water to flood a city that she had stored in a cupboard, her speed so slow she couldn’t drink fast enough to replenish her thirst, she then tried cooking some meat. While it normally took 5 minutes to cook some, now it took 8 hours, because I guess she just wanted it REALLY crispy.
Anyway, after eating that unsuccessfully, she then made her way to the river outside her farmhouse she was camping in. It took 12 hours to get to the river bank. After shedding all her clothes and equipment over the course of a few hours, she fell into the river hoping to drown herself to end the suffering. Somehow, despite moving as if she was cryogenically frozen, she was able to tread water. She was able to do that for about another day, before a wolf at the bank, which was moving at the speed of light to her, ripped her apart.
Total death count: a few zombies, a bunch of cougars and wolves, her liver, and any sense of realism.
My poor little mechanic character just got back from a 2 hour march westwards-and back-in pure darkness. wielding only a plastic jerry-can and a sawn off shotgun with 6 shells, he bravely marched through the forest and got to the farm on the other side. Luckily he was able to procure a jerry-can full of toilet water. Marching back he shotgunned a spider in the face and ran like hell. Currently he is chilling in the corner of the barn, thanking god for the 5 mp3 players he found alongside the hotplate he found back in town, 5 hours in walking distance southwards.
During my latest playthrough I thought I had found Super dog. From the start two npcs run from the shelter and begin attacking the dog. I load up with a spear and nail board intent on taking those heartless beings out, but by the time I get outside, the dog had killed both guys.
when I finally get out, wolves are making their way toward me, the dog runs straight for the 3 wolves and takes them out. I decide I’ll follow the dog he could be my protector.
He took out three z’s before dying in a trap.
the WORST thing happened to me 3 smoking zombies cornered me while I was running from 2 city of zombies LITTERALY and with that there gone 4 bionics very good mutation a bunch of weapons because I never actually saved well shit happens

Hi, I’m new here and loving the game so far ^^ . How do you make a bow out of these items? Don’t you need thread, or something like that?
- For bow construction you need archery and survival skill at 1, you also need STR 10 in order to use it.
- To craft the bow you need 6 feet of string and a heavy stick.
- String can be found or cut from rope using a knife (use the dismantle key), if you are having a hard time finding string/rope you can always disarm a crossbow trap in order to get a starter ranged weapon (at the risk of getting shot by the trap of course)
Good luck to you.
Update on my game:
Was going very well when I decided to loot a nearby town for fuel, books and weapons. I killed dozens in mototov hellfire before realizing that it was getting dark, so I decided to take camp in a house on the edge of town. I have the inconpicuous trait and have had no trouble sleeping in the city before, but not this time.
I don’t know what happened I just slept and it instantly said game over showing nothing near me, oh well, at least I left all my goodies at the township awaiting my next adventurer.
After some manual editing in the text file, I decided to make an uber character for the hells of it with 50 points. I then modeled him after Jason Brody, and decided to live in the woods.
After making a cabin my home I am currently able to live off of the toilet water and eat nothing but bones and I still have a surplus of pretty much everything. Especially since the trench 'round my cabin seems to actively attract rabbits to it, I hardly have to do anything at all aside from cook the 3 full tiles of meat and 1 1/2 tiles of bones to nom. #realism

My experiments indicate that driving when drunk is a bad idea. So far my current character has managed to crash a car into two houses, the car broke down the second time. I have managed to destroy wheels of two motorcycles in traps. And I drove a beetle off a bridge recently.
Furthermore, I have been unable to find any labs or military bunkers. My expeditions out of the three towns I have discovered resulted in many farms, some cabins and sewage treatment plants, a mansion, a FEMA camp and a toxic waste dump being found. At least I found some bionics in the plants.
In happier news, the first town has been mostly cleared of zombies. Liberal application of kicks to the face seem like an effective solution, even if I have to risk Z bites to do so. I have stockpiled much first aid and antibiotics though, so I will manage. Currently, Taekwondo mistress Ella Parker has melee skill of 12, unarmed skill of 11 and dodge skill of 5. I can take on groups of zombies on a wide open street, stand my ground and prevail. My low encumbrance – 1 total for torso and no other penalties – certainly helps. Might actually have to get more dodge penalty to train up my dodge properly.
I found some bionics, though I failed to install the integrated toolset. Though I have some nice toys, they are not very useful yet as I cannot power them. My most pressing concern is to find batteries to fuel cleaning water and cooking meat.
I might also attempt some construction. Whether it be a stationary base or a monster vehicle – or both.

After being driven away from his shelter by malicious turrets on day one, Jet Kudo Chan (don’t ask) decided to set my base of operations in a northern part of the town outskirts. Luck has been with me and Jet, the apprentice of the way of Judo, has been able to find all the basic equipment necessary to survive (Painkillers, food, good clothing, frying pan, enough string to make a hammer and a shovel + books). I even managed to get into a military surplus AND a sporting goods store relatively uncontested. On the 2nd night it the Lightning Storm came. Jet decided to cook some of the food butchered from wrestled wolves, cook some toilet water (ewwww), and maybe read a book.
To his great surprise the fire didn’t die out as it used to do. In fact, the fire starting consuming the house. Filled with fear and adrenaline our protagonist completely lost his head, and left all the supplies behind. After just a couple minutes the fire consumed the whole building and started spreading out to a building right next to it.
As I am writing this, there’s nothing left of neither building, and the fire still roars in the place where the first building was. Jet is shitting bricks, because he has absolutely nothing but a pan and some basic clothing.
Poor Ella Parker has been laid to rest in a backed up save directory. As it turns out, classic zombies are incredibly boring and harmless.
Her successor Mariah Baker has had a much bumpier ride. The greatest problem is not finding a copy of “Sew What? Clothing!”. Getting my storage items destroyed is not cool and neither is wasting precious experience on a skill below its book cap. On the other hand, +3 encumbrance for carrying a too large volume is deadly when nasties are around. Though like a proper hypocrite she is, Mariah keeps installing bionics despite low electronics skill. Sadly, those are not easy to transfer out of massive laboratories. I made my very own water purifier too. Far more power – and input – efficient than cooking the water. I have stockpiled non-perishable food for weeks. And wolves deliver new meat all the time.
“Kick it in the face till it stops moving” is still a viable solution to the far too energetic dead.
I have been to three laboratories so far. The first time, I did not have any ability to use computers and had to leave all those lovely bionics behind. “A piercing burst of light” on the second floor made me switch gears to “GTFO”. The second laboratory was conducting similar experiments but had far more contained test subjects. Still no computer skill but I managed to find a book explaining the basics. I returned to my primary base of operations in the nearby town and went from total computer noob to 1337 |-|4x0rZ level of ability. The third laboratory was a yet another case of boring. I took out my frustrations on the local scientists’ choice of research by killing them again. Too few people value experimental high tech weapons and bionics around these parts. I picked up some basic stuff though, so kinda a bonus.
I recently got too greedy playing the mutation slot machine and had to purify myself completely to restore my character to a long term viable state. Time to acquire a new set of nice mutations.
Does anybody have tips for dealing with those wandering smoke clouds in towns? Are there any plans to prevent cooking rotten meat to make it fresh again?
I am no longer welcome to shop in the Megastore … all the customers and cashiers are here to personally inform me of the decision.
In the approximal radial center there is a smoker zombie. Run over him from within a vehicle or hit the general area with a molotov cocktail. Lure him to a row of spike pits or over lava. Put on a gas mask, make a few zombie pheromones, and have a party on him with your new friends. Get infrared vision and target his red ‘?’ with a bow and arrow, wood spear, or gunfire. Mininuke his ass …
Or some combination of the above …
