You want to be quite a fair distance and have ear protection, about 40 or 50 squares away should be safe iirc.
Arshes passed her hand over the artifact one last time, studying it’s magical field. She nodded in satisfaction, everything felt right. This would now act as her lifeline and hopefully the first step in getting her home…
Found a teleporter and now my home base has a nice link to the translocation system, should make looting a hell of a lot easier
This translocation system is a plugin or a recent development?
Snorted some meth earlier to escape some wasps while on the hunt for some glass bottles to make a basic chemistry set. Found a bunch of booze in a limousine and promptly scooted back home and began guzzling some cheap drinks to free up those bottles. Havin’ a good time in the apocalypse. “Survivor sleep now.” THUD
It’s from Magiclysm.
On Day 16th. Albert, a CRIT Grunt has finally been able to survive the first few waves of dead and terror. He has razed about 2 towns including one with the help of an Owlbear. In pursuit to make a sturdy mobile base, he is now in a dire need to find medium batteries cuz for the life of him he has strangely not found any!
Up until now he was mobile- cruising around in his loaded pick up truck which he had found in a nearly mint condition. But today on our 30km hike up North in search for those batteries, Albert decided to swing by a barn in hopes to finding a loaded lawnmower or even batteries. Even though chances were slim, we took our chance and headed up. About half way on the horizon we see a survivor camp, and curious Albert wanted to have a closer look. And unknowingly drove our pick up van over two spike pits which were not visible until running over. But ALbert had decided to not stop the car, just yet. So, we reached our desolate barn with forest surrounding the area with all the tyres bust. About 1pm i thought its best to scout the area. So after foraging quite far into the forest i meet a troll. Took a punch, flying through the air. I wield my FN SCAR primed and ready and pumped good amount of lead into his huge gigantic abomination of a body.
We resume further exploration of the area. AND we see a lab not too far away. But that later, Albert returned to secure the area and rummage through the farm house while also killing a few standard zombos along the way. It nearly seemed bust coming here when we did find a shovel and pickaxe atleast if not the batteries. Some good loot atlast.
Now Albert heads out to explore the depths of Lab on foot, picking his way through with his essentials.
I don’t know why you need medium storage batteries but if I recall correctly you can craft them from small storage batteries and scrap, and you can get plenty of these from damaged storage batteries. It’s a fairly easy recipe and there are several books that include it
oh i see, but sadly i left all my high level books in the base down south. Very far away to make it on foot. Also, i did not make a folding by cycle which i am regretting now. I need it for my makeshift welders, those batteries.
He needs medium batteries not medium storage batteries
Got myself a pimping energy saber, it’s as close (I think) as I’m going to get to a lightning sword so I think I’ll end up sticking with it for a while. I might have to look into how you enable a martial arts style for weapons though, most of the weapons added by mods seem to lack this and it would be nice to make proper use of it.
Debating what kind of mutant to make my NPC buddy. Any suggestions?
Man, it’s always so awkward asking people to protect you when they’re unarmed and wearing nothing but a waistcoat and compression shorts.
Chimera, I guess? Mutate them into one and see how they fight as an apex predator
If they have robust genetics, anything that doesn’t over size them and fits the role you want them to play. If not, start with medical until they have robust genetics then go on from there.
Plant all the way to chloromorphosis if you don’t want to feed them, they still need to be paid with food on camp things btw
Trog if you plan to stick underground.
Fish or cephalopod for a water buddy. One has slightly more armour and ability to wear gear than the other but the other can be a real heavy-hitter if you give them the right mutations.
Any of the terrestrial animal lines if you want a good melee character, except for bird. Bird are fast but weak.
Medical if you REALLY don’t want them to die.
The rest are meh in my opinion and has so much that can go wrong.
Went to sleep. Woke up “It’s too bright to sleep”. Huh. I was sure I closed all the curtains …
had been sleeping with a flashlight on.
Arshes hand hovered over the blade, this temple was strange but in a weird way more familiar then the world she’d spent the last few months. She and her friends and spent much time in such places looking for relics and powerful items in the past and just like then she’d found similiar items here. Both the robe and the sword she’d discovered had a powerful enchantment laid across them, of what kind, she had yet to detemine but half the fun was finding out. Reaching out she gripped the hilt of the sword, light began to form around her, strength flowed from her into the blade and her magic reserves surged…
Pretty good sword, shame I can’t use it with most of my magic though. The robe has mind protection…but it also has the mutagen effect too so that one is defo going straight in the artifact pile and never coming out again.
You just couldn’t resist, could you? Damn Hi-Point and damn zoomer memers to hell and back.
On a completely unrelated note, has anybody ever been in a science lab tower before? The ground floor’s disguised as an office tower on the map, but thanks the the magic of binoculars revealing everything on all z-levels, I could see right through the paltry facade from my nice perch on an apartment tower. I’m intrigued as to what I’m going to find in there, if it’s any different than any other lab an’ all.
I’ve checked one out, other than having two finales and being more space constricted, it was pretty normal
Talking about odd science labs and such, I found an odd Research lab that is absolutely packed with chemicals and drugs, and also zombies. Just one floor underground (I think) with an elevator entrance.
