What sort of survivor are you?

A conversation with my survivor would probably go like this.

Well Hello ther-Arrow to head is butchered and meat is smoked for preservation clothes are processed and stored

my survivor, does his/her best to kill everything, destroy everything, process everything.

For the survivors description.
A crazed idiot with only one goal, burn everything to the ground, then collect what remains.

“You know how to get my computer and WI-FI working again?”

“No? Do you have any coke”?

“The apocalypse is truly terrible.”

I assume I’d be inside my house reading beside my computer.

“So what do you think about this apocalypse, all your friends and enemies; your family, your loved ones, strangers, countless billions made into deathless flesh-crazed ghouls; societal breakdown, abandonment of basic human decency, loss of morals, mettle and manners. What does it all tell you?”

“It was inevitable.”

I see it.
What you did there.

“You’ve been chased by the undead, mauled by wildlife, starved, frozen, had to scrounge for scraps to survive…what is your opinion of all this?”

“Such is life in the zone.”

Well, until someone figures out how to implement anomalies, burers, controllers, poltergeists, and an NPC AI so terrifyingly good it has to be dumbed down to make the game playable…I’m still more cautious in ShOC than I am in DDA, and the former has quick saves.

Anomalies and artefacts are in the game already. I played SoC really cautiously at first, but then I realised that sometimes, the best thing to do was to press sprint and tap the bandage hotkey. Video games.

As for what I’d do in the Cataclysm, I’m surrounded by farms so I’d probably go take over one, mostly for the purpose of making cheese and beer. I would live off cheese and beer until I couldn’t, I’m not a complex individual.

I was thinking more along the lines of the deadly variety…

They are…

I certainly wouldn’t recommend necking a bottle of whisky, some sleeping pills and having a long sleep on top of one.

True, but it would be silly to do the same in a radioactive waste sarcophagus. I was thinking more along the lines of instantly lethal…
