This thing has zero ability to keep critters from seeing you while you’re parked in it, though. I assume you have a proper base to take refuge in after this thing’s done commuting? XD hot damn!
It’s so maneuverable though, even if they see you, chances are they can’t catch you as you zip by them in between two cars.
And for shame, no tank cannon? owo
EDIT: There we go. I think I’m finally satisfied with how I have these laid out.
Screenshot:
First I was like ‘What the hell are those vehicles’ - then it dawned on me, you made tanks! I guess the front is mostly Quarterpanels, so you can see while using the gun on the right?
Yep, delicious tanks. For that screenshot I actually debugged for the clairvoyance artifact, as the innards of the tanks are still composed of heavy duty boards, just with added armor via quarterpanels surrounding that.
Even then I’m still tweaking things a bit. Rigging the main battle tank so its rear cameras are better shielded.
The typical, everyday buggy build.

I found the picture for the basis of the build.

i only created one tile bike but never a car
Behold! The Solar Nomadic Tank Mk. 1! (SNT1 for short.)
Basically the Main Battle Tank with some small changes.
Changes to the previously-Main-Battle-Tank include:
-
Repurposed to use electricity, and added a few solar panels.
-
Added some basic utilities.
-
Middle tank room repurposed as a control room and shortened to make room for basic utilities, moving the door to remove weakness at the back.
-
Changed quarter panels to boards to improve armor.
-
First rams added to protect the moved security cameras.
To-do List:
-
Some small repairs.
-
More rams, and add turrets.
-
Add more engines so it isn’t a goddamn snail.
-
Add more solar panels.
-
Add another layer of armor to the sides/back.
That…is both hilarious and beautiful.
Definitely needs more engines, from the looks of it.

Agreed.
The only reason I haven’t added more yet is because of insufficient mechanic levels.
Exactly why the atomic mini-tank has several. X3
I think all cata player vehicles can be identified in two different types:
The Overkill Landkreuzer wannabe:
And the vehicles where every part of a vehicle they need is crammed into a single tile:
Images provided by Google Images.
That soldier in the second image definitely has an “oh this is gonna suck” look on his face. :V
And there’s also more moderate vehicles that are just modified generated vehicles by lazy players who aren’t pushing it to the limit, or am I the only one that does that?

Ok, a third one:
The “I didn’t find an acetylene torch and only had some batteries to power the welder” vehicles:
Complete with a wooden ram, apparently.
Introducing the Solar Nomadic Tank Mk. 2!!
Changes from Mk. 1:
-
A new layer of armor has been added to the sides and back.
-
Rams have been added to the sides and back.
-
More security cameras for more vision.
-
More solar panels.
-
More batteries.
-
A second engine, increasing the speed to 14 mph, 6 mph higher than with one engine.
-
Repairs to composite plates.
-
More utilities, some cargo carriers added.
-
The 120mm cannon has been replaced with a 155mm cannon. The old 120mm cannon has been moved to the tile right of the bed.
Question: I’m thinking of making a triangular formation of rams in the front to move vehicles away easier. Would this work, or should I just go with regular ram placement?
This upgrade has been brought to you by a solar car, security van, and self-propelled howitzer.
Oh that is gloriously insane.
Moar engines, as always. And I’m not sure if an array of rams will help.

There is also the 4th category:
Rolling homes with everything onboard + lots of cargo space, but still able to move inside cities and between car wrecks.
It becomes a space optimization and configuration problem very quickly.
Exactly. Either I convert an RV into a deathmobile, or I lengthen a road roller to make it a wannabe RV. With rollers instead of windshield.
Ok, a fourth one for the RV homes.
The "I’m a kleptomaniac and I need to keep those cardboard boxes I find.
Also I decided that I will build the triangle ram on the front of my tank even if it doesn’t help, because it will still be insanely awesome anyway, and it will give more armor and more room for turrets.
