probably all bullets the turret can fire . i ll test it when i run into one.
It depends on if it gets hit or not, if you’re planning on some kind of Mil-Comp riot shield assault on a Military Outpost you might be better off just waiting until night and looking for a long-range weapon.
If you’re planning to run a barricade, acquire a reinforced windshield as well, because that’ll ruin your day when it breaks unexpectedly and .223 rounds start raining into your cockpit.
Here’s my general design for a rolling home.
8 turrets, using Blaze’s turret mod, 2 beam, 2 splintergun (shoots scrap metal), 1 quad nailgun, 1 dragon flamethrower, and 2 avalanche pebbleguns.
I got really lucky and found a bubble car early on, so minireactor, all upgraded solar panels, 2 quantum solar, and all the amenities (RV,MF, FK, CS, WR, EF) and enough storage to hold anything I want except for large quantities of vehicle parts. Field of view is nearly 330º, and if I leave the back door open while I mow through hordes, I can watch them broil in their own fat like brisket on a BBQ.
I’m going to go with all front mounted Rippers (another blazemod, rotating bladed discs) but until then just using some Milcomp mounted as rams. Even with the wing mirrors inset into the frame, they’re still really fragile and I find myself stockpiling the silly things cause I lose them every time I skid across a bush/zombie/worm.
First image, overall. Second image, all engines on (4 large electric, diesel, and V12 Gas). I usually only use the top setup (2 large electric) as that refreshes power faster than I can use it.
Total electric 2,300,000, 800 gas 800 diesel, and 800 clean water.
I love the car stuff.
That’s a beast!
On turrets vs armor - i have a road in the fire zone of a couple of those “2”'s. And two APC’s. Just got curious, how effective APC would be at, you know, caring ppl around and keeping em alive under fire.
I’m not sure I can say. To my shame, I hate repairing enough that I will see a turret at a distance, dismount and shoot the darn things with a rifle rather than risk my beloved green machine.
If its military composite armor it will take a whole clip of a standart 9 mm turret without breaking.
Yay thematics!
It’s actually pretty useful too. There’s almost 0 damage to the vehicle when clearing roads of zombies at low speed due to the number of rippers.
That and triple storm bolters.
Why rebar?
Wasnt aware you can install all kinds of batteries in one space.

well i said this in few threads few times…
The other day I sliced at a thing with my broadsword from my car door, while the car was still moving (I didn’t actually realise this). Some Mount and Blade shit.
Anyway here’s my thing, it’s not very big but I like nimble vehicles so I don’t crash into buildings every five seconds. The weight is because the trunks are full of goodies from a loot run.
PS how do tracking devices work?
You mean the vehicle tracker?
If thats what you meant then :
Install the part.
Activated it from the vehicle control .
Carry a pda to see where it is (aparently it doesn t matter whether its activated or not or it got batteries… i asume the code simply checks whether you got it in your inventory.)
I looked at the code a while ago and it requires at least one charge of battery.

Yep that’s what I meant. It doesn’t work though, I made a post on the bug forum yesterday but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing it wrong. All of my searches brought up other people saying it was broken from months ago lol.
I just started a game .
Debuged in a tracker,a welder , welding googles, a pda, a wrench and uped my mechanics.
I welded the tracker to the first car that had controls and some batterie power.
I activated the tracker.
It works.
latest experimental.
What kind of vehicle can I make with a single light frame? I’m kind of completely new to building a vehicle from scratch. Would like to start small.
With one frame you can make motorized shopping cart or a engine powered utility cart with a welder/kitchen unit/turret/ or a flood light.
Here a simple gun turret i put together.
You can fit a surprising number of things on a single frame.
An engine. Even if it’s a V12 engine, it can fit on a folding frame (which is made from 1 pipe).
A motorbike/car/truck battery (or all three).
A stereo system.
Vehicle controls.
A vehicle tracker. (Needs battery)
A security system. (Needs controls)
A flashlight.
A seat. (Which you’ll need in order to drive it).
A diesel/gas/water/hydrogen tank or storage battery (swappable and non-swappable.) or plutonium reactor.
A piece of armor plating.
A trunk/box/wire basket/cargo carrier/minifridge (You can only install this along with a seat if the seat has 0 cargo space i.e. folding seat or saddle)
A recharging station (needs a cargo container)
A muffler.
A seatbelt or five point harness (cannot be installed on folding seats or saddles).
A water faucet (Useless without a water tank, and there are no water-fueled engines.)
A bike/car/truck horn. (You can install all three I believe.)
A wheel (and you only need 1 on a 1-tile vehicle)
A roof (though it won’t do anything on since you need the four cardinal directions covered).
A turret, floodlight, red/blue light, or solar panel. (If you have any other cargo-holding item on the tile, you can’t install an ammo-based turret excluding the plasma turret, which uses a hydrogen tank)

Works fine in my 0.B save too.
I envy some of you more creative people here. I always end up going for the “square” design.
Modded semi (all those heavy duty frames), yanked out the diesel, currently running an 8-liter V8 from a police car plus a large electric motor (currently off) for backup and speed boost when needed. Two seats in the front, both with controls in case I need to hightail it in a hurry, trunk with recharger and a cargo space, all windshields and front doors replaced with heavy duty hatches.
In the back there’s a bed (also with vehicle controls, to operate the floodlight), crafting stations and a fridge, 3x3 cargo spaces to make unloading goods simpler. Solar panels stretch from the driver seat to the welding station in the back (4x6). Shutter doors to block LOS.
I park it a safe distance from my raiding target, put together a Trunkster (light frame, casters, trunk) and haul the crap back. I did try squishing some zeds with it a while ago and it works fine.
Oh, and I forgot: armor display is off. All tiles except mirrors have Military Composite Armor.
here you see my realy old creation
