Vehicle Show and Tell

I live out of the damn thing (Though not the RMCC anymore, it’s too big for my laptop to handle XD) so it kinda has to be huge to store all my shit. I’d take the “horder” trait if it could account for the crap in my vehicle XD

Mostly end up driving around cities, takes too long for it turn to be able to drive it in a city.

Current Build of the Mobile Field Base:

4 V8 Engines, 2 Large Electric Engines. 36 Wide Wheels (27 Gasoline Per Turn @ Top Safe Speed, 7 Energy @ Top Safe Speed)
Safe Top Speed: 115 MPH Redlined: 1214
Current Weight: 23458 LBS
258,000 Units Gas Capacity, 3,000,000 Energy Capacity, 4,000 Water Capacity
25 Tiles long, 8 Wide (The RMCC is 30 by 10 I think and the Bread Sled was 12 by 6)

Because the big red lizard needs a big olive drab truck to carry all his crap about the wastes while traveling from town to town delivering Books, Guns, Meth, and Mutigen to all the good boys and girls whilst searching for drugs, women, ammo, and artifacts.

Merry Apocalypse, it’s the Gun Lizard. Spreading apocalyptic cheer and merriment to all the good folks of a world moved on.

Us small vehicle owners found out we don’t need 50 spare steel frames and 3 dozen firearms.

-1 trunk for food
-1 trunk for firearms/electronics
-1 trunk for clothing
-1 trunk for cbms/meds
-1 trunk for spare parts

You run out of something? Put it on your shopping list. You’re able to move around so much, hoarding isn’t necessary-- pick up what you need from your surroundings & keep your stocks pristine.

Perhaps, but where’s the fun in that? I’ve got the security of knowing I’ve vacuumed up just about every remotely useful object in the tri-state area by the time I die.
[size=1pt]Call it a dragon thing if you have to.[/size]

ROFL!

Ah well, to each his own. The mobility of a small base vehicle is liberating though.
[sup][sup][sup][sup][sup][sup][sup][sup][sup][sup][sup]Hehe, I do that for gold bars & money bundles- store them in my bed for bonus points.[/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup]

Some men like riding massive phallic machines.

I have a good feeling about this “vehicle”.

Yes the entire thing is covered in 6.66 V8 engines, got a be a good sign surely.

3500 Km/h or bust!

Bah, V8<V6

Why not a cross instead of an I?

Hmm with the 6.66 V8’s a cross would be better since it somewhat related to the number, must redesign now.

I went with a I originally because I wanted wheels at the top and bottom to the side.

hmm took it out for a drive just got to 2.5k km/h and ran out of fuel and lost 3 engines and badly damaged the rest.

Mach 2!? THAT’S IT?! You should be ashamed.

Well a few tweaks and i’ve got it just under 3k, but fuel seems to be the main problem once I get up to the high speeds I tend to run out despite having gas tanks on every frame.

Needs go faster, if only I could install multiple engine types per frame(and storage tanks).

Actually as it stands V8 engines are just heavier V6 engines XD Pretty sure there’s no power advantage between them.

If V6’s are just light weight V8’s, I should just replace all my V8’s, if it’s the same power for less mass then I should get better speeeeds.

I’m not positive on this but Fuel consumption factors in as well, and it’s easier to find high-consumption V8s than high consumption V6s

@Ekarus: Suddenly I understand the issue on the Github page about “large” vehicles causing increased CPU usage. I’ve seen smaller accordion buses.

I mean, I knew when I made the vehicle interaction pane scroll that SOMEONE would build Truckzilla, I just didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

Hey, I like not having to leave my loot behind when I move and not having to compromise on what crap I can vacuum up. That, and I like comfort. If I could I’d have built one with a full bathroom, a kitchen, a dining area, mission planning… And more.

But my tiny laptop won’t handle it, just you wait till I can afford a new desktop. XD

I was under the impression fuel consumption was linearly related to the size of the engine- 6.66 would consume 6 units, (possibly 6.66, but that’s supposition).

V6s are just plain better than V8s in-game.

Pst, Caconym, I don’t think you need those top/bottom branches. So long as it’s balanced, all you should really need are 1 wheel forward & 1 aft.

Don’t quote me on this but I think it adds the consumption of the engines then rounds appropriately. (EG 4 6.66 engines is 27) I’ve noticed that lower consumption engines don’t give as much speed as higher consumption engines do. It’s also worth mentioning that the fuel consumption number is the fuel it consumes per turn at the maximum safe speed.

This is all guess work though.
