Yes, it’s very possible, I tend to build a station with all crafting implements on my bases.
About 0.A version, I dunno, but it theoretically should work.
That’s great! What would you suggest beyond the vehicle welding rig?

Did you ever die in a car going 200 mph die roll a new char and then get rekt by your own car that sticked arround… velocity and all included?
RV kitchen unit, chemical lab, forge rig, fridge, FOODCO kitchen buddy, solar panels outside, A7 laser rifle batt disregard that.
Basically, everything you consider useful.

For me, usually all of them. Onboard chemistry set for basic cooking and chemistry, FOODCO for handloading ammunition and preserving meat, recharging station so I can use stuff like UPSs and light-amp goggles for no cost, and a forge rig for metalworking. The RV kitchen unit and mini-fridge are nice to have as well, though I never bank on being able to find a working RV early on.
Can I build a “vehicle” in a house, powered with gasoline, a motor, and an alternator, in order to use vehicle welding rig? Does anyone have simple plans to build such a crafting station?
Lastly, would it work in 0.A also? I have an old save from one of the 0.A experimentals where I want to do this.
be careful though that a gasoline engine makes smoke. If you have the engine inside the house it’s a recipe for troubles. The proper way is to build a frame outside and put the engine and alternator there (+ controls i think), then run a jumper cable through a window inside and connect it to other vehicle where you have all the units you need.
The best way is to build several frames outside and put solar panels on them and connect them to the vehicle inside that has the batteries, controls and everything else. This way you don’t need to worry about gasoline and noise, while having an endless energy supply (with enough solar panels, that is. i think 5 should be enough for that purpose). The absolute best way is to have a mobile base :).
This is all imho, ofc.
i completely forgot to ask my question
How long can Deaf! status be active? It’s been a pretty long while since i have it and it doesn’t wear off.
Is there a way i can accelerate the regaining of my hearing?
Insert yer ear plugs before firing.
It can take a lot of time to recover.
No, you can’t accelerate the recover.

The thing is i am only using quiet weapons. I think i was pretty close to some turrets/robots fighting though (using a control laptop has these drawbacks), that might be it.
I used my leukocyte breeder and nano repair CBMs and shortly after that i started to hear again, but i am not sure if the CBMs even helped, or if enough time has passed for me to recover.
AFAIK, only time heals it. Recovery might take hours. In ‘A really bad day’ starting scenario, the house you start in is on fire. The resulting partial roof collapses are LOUD and might make your character deaf soon after the start, lasting hours. As for the exact mechanic, i.e. how much noise and at what distance can you subject yourself to without going deaf, I have no idea. All I know now is that you can’t speak while you’re deaf, disabling you from giving commands if/since there’s an NPC in the burning house… Do NPCs go deaf, too?
And can we have sign language?
Or at least make NPCs be “afraid” of fire, and make them escape a burning building? (with consideration to certain situtations)

Totally! But do try building solar panels outside, and connect them to your appliances via steel frames. Don’t forget vehicle batteries. If the result looks less than pleasant, you could build TWO “vehicles” - a solar panel array right outside with swappable storage batteries charging, and the indoor appliance collection. Of course each appliance could be a separate “vehicle” but you’ll need vehicle controls for each one of them (either crafted or taken from an existing vehicle).
No idea about 0.A. I would imagine that if you can build a vehicle in it, you can build it anywhere.
Here’s something I’ve been meaning to ask for a while:
What does the to-hit bonus do?

Improves accuracy with a weapon when used in melee. The exact mechanics, I’m unsure. :V
Improves accuracy, by as much as 2 points of melee, 3 points of appropriate weapon skill or 4 points of dexterity.
Also improves crit rate.
Ahahaha, sooo many times. I had this one world like a year ago where I was testing a bunch of vehicle related stuff, and I’d debug in a vehicle, drive around at high speed, and just Quit out when I was done testing something. Eventually there were dozens of vehicles flying around at high speeds with corpses in the drivers seats. I once had two of them collide next to me, not to mention all the times I got run over by one of them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IIfad8RdLY this seems vaguely appropriate. So uh. I guess the lesson here is to park first???
Great suggestions for the “base vehicle”, thanks everyone!
So how much power does a single unit of plutonium provide?
Wondering, if mini-reactor I found from a bubble car is worth installing instead of my large electric engine.
Havin around 100 units of plutonium.
If the minireactor comment is right, 1 unit of plutonium will equal 100 battery power. I think.
The ammount of energy a plutonium cell provides is random.
Theres a specific chance that a charge is used. Either it is or isnt… I forgot the chance.
but its a low chance like 1/500 or something like that.
And a minireaktor works as an engine? realy? I gotta try that… i thought it provides energy and nothing else.
perhaps that carpart works different then pultonium fueled items. I am notr sure about it.
Nope. It provides only epower, no propulsion. But it doesn’t waste power on full batteries.
