Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

I see no reason to use up plutonium for energy only. The energy consumption my cars have is so low that a few solarpannels will deal with it easily.
So unless the car components that we can install use up much more power…

Yeah if you purposely use up unessasary amounts of energy. But thats like saying i shoot zombie kids with a .50 machinegun… because i want to.

I build huge vehicles. Not a reason.
i actually armore every tile of my vehicles… not just the outside. So they turn out super heavy.
If you drive arround a lot then maybe… but then again thats not nessesary either. And also not comfortable… its better having an ebike for explorin citys then navigating them with your roling fortress trust me.

True. I’ve not really played with minireactors but, but I still like the idea of it being a backup to solar power.

It would be realy cool if i had something useful for it to be nessesary like … like.
i would want a huge vehicle mounted energyweapon that does 120mm canon amounts of dmg and uses rediculess amounts of energy… like 2 full storage abterys worth of power per shot. Then we are talking.

I think i would be fine with it doing 1 k dmg and a moderate splosion.
Or perhaps an even bigger variant of the railgun that goes pew and leaves a trail of plasma and fire.

Basically, yeah. Thing is that you can only go so big with the explosion effects, as unlike exploding tools/grenades ammo doesn’t have tweakable explosion parameters. So the main way to make it hit harder is ranged damage and armor pierce. Which is great…if you hit.

Than lets have a full auto turret that fires litle exploding plasmabolts. Minigunstile… say 50 shot bursts :))))

or simply make the gun accurate??

Ooh, that would be hilarious and accomplish the massive power drain through more efficient means.

Big energy gun would be great with a charging up-function that makes the gun go BOOM if you don’t discharge it in time.

My best-ever deathmobile (with the Vehicle Additions Pack in place) had 4x laser cannon turrets and 4x pulse laser turrets set to auto. Then it had 3x turbolaser turrets set to manual. With 10 storage batteries, 12 advanced solar panels, and a minireactor for power.

It was game-breaking. Cars blocking the road? Hop on the turbolasers and blast them until there’s nothing left but scrap. All the noise attracts a horde? Who cares, the auto-lasers will cut them all down as soon as they come within range.

God it was great. I need to build another one.

We should make a Death Star version of that turbolaser…

and it blows up the planet?
