Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Does the recharging station continously draw power or does it charge what it needs… also how many units of power per hour does a mini-fridge suck up

If you can get into a Science Lab, it’s rare but quite possible to find a syringe for a specific type of mutagen. Glass jars of general mutagen are quite common though.

As for making it, it’s pretty hard. The ingredients are pretty expensive, and you need a cooking skill of 9 I think, as well as 11 or 12 INT (but you can always eat caffeine pills.) Usually it’s more common to find a syringe of the stuff in a science lab and squee with delight.
In my experience finding a specific mutagen is so darn rare it’d be easier (and maybe even faster) to just read books to get my cooking up to 9 or 10, then make my own homemade mutagen.
The lab notes and books themselves are pretty good reading for this purpose.
And hey, once you get to that point you can make yourself as much as you want!

Personally, I raid a lab for the chemicals I need to make the mutagen. It’s a bitch to get the reptile eggs for the lizard mutagen, but depending on what you want to mutate into it can be as simple as fresh meat.

If you’ve got a Food-Co unit in a vehicle you can mass-process it into dehydrated meat then use it later. Other than that you pretty much have to use fat or salt to turn it into long-term storage stuff.

…Not every day I post here, but alas, a question.

Is it more space-efficient for you to store liquids in their individual containers, or move them all to one bigass container?
I think there is no difference, but:

 1. 460 aluminium cans kills game speed.
 2. In recent experimentals, unloading cans into larger containers disappears the liquid. At last with cans that do not have number by them.
I’ve noticed that keeping stuff in vehicle storage space helps with the “Too much shit” problem, so that’s not an issue. I’m just trying to maximize storage space in my vehicle, it’s a bit more limited than a bunker.

I think it draws so long as it’s on, don’t know if it provides less to each item if you’ve got a bunch though. As for mini-fridges It’s like 250 a turn or something.

Well started new game with Play Now! got realy nice female cop with good skills and stats and i have npc what i finished skill for him and he trained me and joined after seeing what he know i noticed that he have almos every skill at 8 lvl so i have question did “Asked to Train” effect disapear after some time or its pernament?

asked to train lasts about a day. (I think)

I’ve tried looking a bit, but haven’t seen an answer, so figured it would be easier to just ask. Is there any benefit to having more than one martial art, other than having options on which one to use actively? Do they provide any kind of continuous passive benefit? I ask because the wiki lists some styles as good choices for ‘supporting styles’ but I’m not sure if that means some elements of it are passively available to you, or if it just means it is situationally good so you can switch to it for certain events then switch back to your main style.

you can change style when you think it will be more usefull than another in one situation like takewondo will give great defense with hydraulic muscles saving you when near death or ninjutsu when you need to do some stelatch kills with katana or other cutting weapon most styles have passiwe effects what disapear when you start to use other style

Wiki styles guide has been outdated for a while, because it was written before Brawling style and possibly even before style books from dojos and boxing gyms.

Don’t pick more than one style at start, it’s simply not worth the points. You can unlock some of them later from books in dojos and boxing gyms. Brawling is unlocked for free at 2 unarmed combat and at 6 unarmed combat it can be successfully used to wreck hulks.

Yeah, I should update that guide. Brawling is the “generic” MA that you develop yourself: it’s pretty meh at low levels but gets better. It’s also due for a buff so it shows that you can use unarmed weapons (you can; it’s an interface issue).

Currently, everything in MA Training can spawn at a dojo; Boxing, Karate, and MT can spawn in boxing gyms, and KM, Ninjutsu, Escrima, Pentjak Silat, and TKD can rarely spawn in miloutposts. Someone PM me to grab & merge that Niten Ichi Ryuu floating around in the Lab and it, along with fencing, will show up in mansions.

If I’m using 0.B stable, do those spawns still apply? Do the Shaolin styles spawn anywhere?

The ferrogmatic rail rifle kinda seems a bit underwhelming even with steel rails… it doesn’t even oneshot a zombie soldier. is there any way to increase its damage even further not including accurizing

Add longer rail. Add belt feed system. Make it full automatic.

Zombies: Oh god the pain why
You: Eat lead, motherf****r!! Yeah!!

Question / Curiosity time! Why can a Steel Jerrycan hold something like 10000 units of Fuel, but only 100 drinks of Water?

Shouldn’t the unit / measuring system be uniform across all liquids?

the measuring system is uniform. its in liters isn t it?
the number is the times you can use it in the action that requires the least ammount.

Nope, as otherwise your engines would use 250mL of gas/diesel, minimum, per unit moved. And you’d have to drink 250 mL of single malt (or everclear, or wev) as the smallest drink size. Charge size is an important variable.

Come to think of it, how do you exactly refuel plasma engines? I installed hydrogen tank, but there is no option to unload hydrogen into it like with gas or diesel containers.

Moved from Latest experimental features–KA101

Usually the vehicle screen, find the hydrogen tank, and hit refill (need to have the hydrogen in inventory).

Huh. Never knew you can reful like that in first place. Somehow my mind ignored the refill option in the vehicle screen

Not sure if this was covered anywhere. They do not have reach, but they move fast enough that they might have closed the distance and then attacked before you got a chance to act.

A control laptop used on a Tank Drone is AWESOMESAUCE.
I love him now as much as I used to hate them. He’s like an having the Terminator as a friend.
Also, Elf-A causes turrets and bots and stuff (but not skitterbots or manhacks, interestingly) to also regard you as not human, for those looking for an option to alpha as a human appearing apocalyptic superhero of death.
And does anyone know what the (totally sweet) menu options for turrets are for? I don’t see a difference between 1 and B, although I’m guessing single shot and burst.

Yeah, 1 shot and burst. At first I wanted to allow picking custom burst size, but that would be inconsistent with options available to player using a regular gun.

Turrets do not remember recoil between turns, but they do keep the track of their recoil during a burst.
