The launcher dumping old backups into my recycle bin, filling up my drive until I empty it

I don’t know if this is intended or not, but I just went to update Cata to find out that my drive was mysteriously full. I went to empty my recycle bin only to find dozens of old Cata backups sitting in there.

Obviously I’m deleting them now, but the launcher probably should just be deleting old backups as they age out.

That is exactly what it does - deleting your old backups. Your OS is configured to put deleted files into recycle bin.

TBF, there could be an option for direct deletion regardless of default OS settings, but that’s the issue with the launcher, not with CDDA, and should be resolved in launcher’s github instead of here.

There is an option in the Settings tab to change this behavior. All you have to do is click on that checkbox:
