Swapping Places in Vehicle kills npc

So I went to go get in my first working car and one of the npc’s jumped in the drivers seat. I was like "ok. i’ll just swap seats with her. I was sitting in the front seat, passanger seat. the car was facing west. I have 4 npc’s. So I push south and the menu pops up “what do you want to do with this npc?” I choose “Swap positions” and an error pops up. its an theirs no position avalible for this npc. this npc’s head explodes.

I’ve tried to recreate this using 6 npc’s it has not reoccured.
