The ability to choose lab techs, maybe failed cyborgs/bionic monsters, and similar for lab starts. Lab techs in particular seem fitting, unless we can be sure all the non-experiment personnel were actually killed or successfully evacuated…
I suspect that manhacks do not have much strength and rely upon being extremely sharp, and that extremely sharp blades become very fragile if you extend them. I would guess that the blades are probably about two or three times as long parallel to the cuts that they make as they are long in terms of extending from the machine.
Could we have more static N.P.C.s? Like, set them up in boarded houses and have one or two hidden in sewers and maybe some of the L.M.O.E. shelters and cabins are occupied?
Car Battery UPS. Crafted using two car batteries and a UPS/UPS components. Can be reloaded up to the capacity of one car battery, and can loaded with batteries but not unloaded. Only compatible with Vehicle Charger Mod.
An equivalent for truck batteries.

A moderately expensive recipe for an electric mod that can be applied to anything with a charge, allowing the object to function as a UPS.

“You put your UPS mod on your Reinforced Atomic Vibrator (134) (fits)”
We’ve been over that repeatedly. Would then cause problems with survivors starting in increasingly depleted worlds, etc. Fundamental problem is world-reuse.

This could possibly be alleviated by creating new possible spawn points when new map chunks (is that the right word?) are generated.
Not sure how simple making a profession trait is, but maybe for the military recruit (or possibly a new military officer/technician/engineer profession) a trait for turrets to either be in the players faction or neutral. I think lore wise it was military who setup the turrets and law enforcement the bots. May be wrong though.
Reinforced skeleton CBM. The CBM comes with micromachines that deposits a superalloy coating on the player’s skeletons. Mechanically, this means attacks below a certain damage threshold cannot lower any HP bars below 30 percent, to simulate the reinforced skeleton protecting important internal organs and being nearly unbreakable.
This CBM lowers the carry-weight limit due to the increased weight of the player’s bones. This CBM also cannot be uninstalled without a team of medical experts/CBM technicians with specialised tools, which doesn’t exist post-Cataclysm.

If all the musclehas been sloughed off of your body part it is practically compromised.
Also won’t protect against said muscle shots, gut shots, concussions, and arterial damage.

Hmm, good point. The concept does need some more work before it becomes workable.
Although I would note that, outside of the case of Fusion Blaster Arm CBM being removed, the game considers a limb reaching 0 hp is merely broken and reparable with splint. The PC having limbs destroyed beyond recovery doesn’t seem like a thing in the game yet.
And I suppose we can handwaved that the reinforced skeleton having backup servos in case of total destruction of the organic musculature, in order to justify the last 30 percent hp of the limbs.
And gut shots would probably be treated the same as arterial damage in that it causes steady loss of hp unless treated.
And CBM: Arterial Shunt needs to be a thing. Redundant veins and arteries plus a bunch of internal valves in major bloodstreams to make the player immune to death-by-bleeding-out.
Hmm. These two plus the nanorepair, painkiller, face mask, fusion blaster and fireproofing cbms would basically turn the player into the T-X.
What about CBM progression, in the way that we have mutation progression? For instance, make some CBMs so dreadfully violent and dangerous to install that installing without the Nano-Repair CBM leads to instant death. Or make certain CBMs that are essentially upgrade kits for existing CBMs. The upgrades could be significantly rarer. For instance, you could redo the Recycler CBM (that I’m currently arguing about on Reddit) so it reduces hunger by only 1/8th or so, to account for reclamation of undigested food, and perhaps the ability to break down and use bacterial mass. But…you could get a significantly rarer Nano-Digestion Kit (or whatever) that would increase the bonus to what is currently, accounting for total digestibility of cellulose, fiber, and everything else made of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen (otherwise known as ‘could be sugar’).
Hm… I think there should be mutation in insect category (maybe even post-threshold, like rat’s and chimera’s “Eater of The Dead”) that would allow such digestion naturally (think “termites”).
Smartglasses. It’s fancy, can self-adjust it’s lens curvature for any kind of eye problems, made photochromic glass to keep out the glare, can take and store pictures, and serves as a watch/alarm clock. Also very expensive and rare.
How about just prescription sunglasses, for starters? Or a set of clip-on lenses that act as a mod that adds glare protection to eyeglasses, reading glasses, and bifocals?
I may have said it before, but I feel there should be some craftable flail weapons within the game; the crafting recipies of these would mainly be created with a steel chain, a two by four and some scrap metal (accompanied with forging tools, of course.) A makeshift version could be made with wood and nails, and perhaps nunchuks could be added to be compitible with some martial arts.
I apologise if something like this has already been requested and denied, but has the addition of Japanese swordfighting styles - such as Yagyu Shinkage Ryu - been considered to be added? The style, in short, focuses on keeping the body safe from stabs so that the battle can be ended in one strike with your blade - this could work in the sense that once an attack is parried, blocked or dodged, your next sword strike will deal considerably more damage.
Combat messages could pop up like so:
You take the opportunity and strike you opponent down for [X] damage!
You viciously return an attack for [X] damage!
You smoothly dodge the attack, and prepare a powerful strike!
Whilst I don’t know the ease of coding, I feel like an extra Melee Weapon Style should be in there, so I may as well suggest it - I feel some of the non-fencing swords like the wakizashi/katana/nodachi, and maybe even the forged sword as a substitute could use their own styles.
Can there be a weapon that’s essentially a PVC pipe or some other tube with a attached CO2 or O2 canister and it can be used to launch anything that can fit in the pipe like rocks, grenades, soda cans, ect. Really just a T-shirt cannon fitted to launch anything but T-shirts. I’ve suggested this on another topic but what about a toy store? Filled with children and their past parents, plenty of toys for morale or parts and children’s novelty clothing, masks, hats.

Launches rocks, lead balls, IEDs…
Could go for some more ammotypes though, like the random heavy objects you find around.
The ability to 'A’ctivate spear-type weapons to brace them ahead of yourself. Any creature moving into the square you chose to point the weapon takes damage. While alright on foot this ability really shines from say…a motorcycle?
