Here’s a needful thing: Constructible storage with a volume greater than 1,000 which does not block Line of Effect and thus, allows you to use craft ingredients behind it. Something like a big old floor locker, something built as terrain that can’t be moved.
That, or allow you to define an area as your crafting zone and use everything within it regardless of LoS/LoE, but that sounds very nontrivial and potentially exploitable compared to floor lockers.

We need more homemade/pneumatic dakka. bolt driver and pneumatic assault gun aren’t enough.
And better Coilguns. The Coilgun as is sucks right now because the ammunition does pitiful damage. I’m very sure it’d be a simple matter to alter such a weapon to fire bearings or homemade slugs of metal designed for use in one.
They succ with nails, but with flechettes it is ok, the bad thing is that the damn equipement required to do flechettes is pretty expensive.

The problem with coil guns is for any damage to be significant you’d need what ammounts to a small nuclear power stations worth of instantanious charge. Talking in the 450kV range or higher for an iron nail at 10 meters. Assuming the sudden high temp ionizing plasma discharge doesn’t melt it in flight.
Same goes for CBMs and power armor.
Homemade plasma gun?
Plasma guns are nothing if you don’t mind a really short range. You just need a 240v input, A stepdown transformer to 12v outputting 60amps, and around 80k PSI of air pressure behind it. You’ll get around a 9inch plasma jet. (and yes, it will burn the fuck out of you and melt tungsten.)
