But you wont get meaningfully extra protection from that, steel plate by itself already deflects cuts. Covering it with diamonds would only get you protection from things that “cut” through abrasion aka saws and drills.

pretty sure diamond inclusions in steel would just be a source of stress points and weaken it.

KA101:

CVD forge is a moledular-construction unit. Findable as a lab finale, 1/7 odds. Currently only used to apply the diamond coating to diamond gear. (More recipes that use it would be appreciated.)

You could probably use the thing to make the high-quality lens (although that doesn’t have many applications) and the Subdermal Carbon Filament CBM. Maybe it could be used to make composite materials, but that’s heading past the game’s usual limits.

Decent ideas. Probably could extrude Advanced solar panels, maayybe the Quantum variety too.
