Make ant/bee spawns more 'interesting'

how about bees/ants spawns continue to spawn more. sort of like rabbits spawn. what is the algorithm you code in a CS degree that goes something like this

1+1+3+5+… so on series? that continues to grow. so if you dont take them out, the spawns get larger and larger and get more dangerous?

Yea, eventually planning on having static spawn of animals (including mutant animals) with some kind of population model.
