O.k., I have no idea what’s wrong and I think this might be a bug, but my hunger is -3315 and my thirst is -3465 and Idk y. It occurred oddly enough while i was cooking meat to eat and it’s as if i hadn’t eaten in a week. When i started cooking the meat i was full. It wasn’t a full day that past while i cooked one piece of meat. When I eat or drink nothing happens to my thirst and hunger Idk what to do. plz help.
Oh I apologize, it’s not in the -3000 it’s in the -30,000 unless water does 5 instead of 50…
Hmmm…have you done anything recently that would warrant being cursed with the hunger of ten thousand men?
Perhaps all the Karma form killing those NPCs finally cached up?
But really, that shouldn’t happen my recomendation:
-Use the debugmenu to spawn enough cooked meat to feed an army, 600 units perhaps? (May result in the game crashing or you dying from starvation)
-Report the bug
Now this is a rather interesting bug. Honestly, I’d like to get my hands on your build’s code (pre-compiled preferably) and save file, as this is truly an odd one.
It’s piqued my latent cata-interest.
I did use the debug and I’m currently drinking an ocean worth of water… If i were able to starve to death I’d have done it by now lol. And if you want my code then sure Idk know how to send it to u but yeah np.
Pop it into drop box and set the drop box folder as open to anyone with a link. I have a few ideas where it may have gone wrong, but I can’t do much unless I rule out the obvious (namely, the compiler screwed up… again.).
Sigh, we have the most advanced languages and tools available that we’ve ever had, yet the most likely fix is still “build it again”.
Anyways, rant over. If you get me access to the code and save, I’ll look it over tomorrow. Might take until wednesday if you didn’t build it from the source code, as it’ll be a major pain cracking open your .exe correctly (I’ve only done it once, and it took half a dozen tries).
yeah sorry, that explanation doesn’t help me lol
Heh, it is rather late, so my brain is in that odd place called drakeland, where I am at my most inventive and problem-solvish, but rather incompetent at… pretty much everything else.
Here is a (hopefully) better explanation:
Go to dropbox.com and set up a dropbox account.
Inside of your dropbox, create a folder, and upload all of your code and your save into it.
Right click on the folder, and search around until you find either sharing or something similar.
Inside of their, set it so that anyone with a link to it can download the files.
Then just put a link in your post, and I’ll nab them right up.
Seeing as you are here, do you happen to know the amount of any smaller dynamos capable of generating enough current to detonate compacted gunpowder? I’ve been thinking over an idea for a variable round, caseless, self charging rifle for a while now, but I haven’t had the time to search for the more specialized parts. Good news is, I think I have a possible fix for the gunk buildup issue!
ok here it is
I’m not a firearms specialist but if a hub dynamo on a bike could power a flashlight on a bicycle, couldn’t that dynamo be taken apart and refitted into your self charging rifle?
I guess the self charging bit might throw that though a loop though as you’d possibly need a perpetual motion machine to make it work. While some attempts at a perpetual motion machine have come close (one that I’m thinking of but can’t quite remember the name of right off the top of my head…) that involved the moons effects on water too keep it going, a true perpetual motion machine has never really been done, let alone weaponized. That I know of anyway.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this post got me laughed off the forums though.
how do you tell what your starving level is at in numeric form? Is it in the save game file?
The man’s name IS Prometheus. Perhaps the cataclysm gods decided to be more creative with his punishment?

It isn’t perpetual motion. In place of the recoil causing and slow moving firing pin most modern guns use, there would be a pair of electrodes. The idea this design hinges on is if I can get/make a dynamo that is small enough to fit on the gun, but efficient enough to charge a small battery bank using the pressure of the escaping gases (think the m16 gas system for a general idea).
Not an expert on this stuff by any means, but natural radioactive decay could provide a long-lasting generator. Maybe it wouldn’t work all too well with most of the elements, but your rifle would be radioactive (not for the enemy, but still radioactive nonetheless)
That’s what you get for stealing the fire.
OP, you forgot to share your save file as well. I looked through the code you gave me (I’ll save cracking the exe until after I look over the save), and what is there checks out. The exe runs and is the correct number of bytes, so I can safely rule out a download error. It is also the stable release, so the most likely fix is a manual edit to your save file, and we will see how things go from there.
i thought i did send my save file but ill do it again
shift + 2 and it brings up your stats, encumbrance and warmth, speed, skills and their lvls, and traits. under the speed tab it shows my hunger and thirst affecting my speed… base move cost 169 current speed 25 lol. Also if you look on the wiki it’ll show you what each stage means and you can gestimate if you aren’t so negatively impacted like me lol.
Stop smoking weed.
It’s the munchies.
