To stop the deaf, I install a “Enhanced Hearing” CBM to my character, but one thing I was worry about is that character’s action noise has been increase, Is this only that my character hearing that noise, or all the monster hearing it too? If it’s the former, then I have no worry about, but if it’s the latter, will need fix soon.
It’s just the player hearing that magnifies all noise.
“Sound: x” lists the volume you hear, not the volume you emit.

Well then, that would explain alot.
Same is true for all sorts of ear mutations.
Fun fact: bad hearing trait (which halves incoming volumes) partially protects from deafness due to loud sounds, because deafness from loud sounds depends on incoming volume. If you want to play a grenade-chucking maniac, it’s a good idea to grab it.
