solid and liquid food are separated as are tools that require reloading.
I generally set up base in a public works, one with a totaled flatbed which I tear apart for the pile of metal… for building up my DOOM CAR OF DOOM, before I die by ramming my car into things I shouldn’t at 1000 mph.
i organize my crap by categories and i use shoping carts to it, as a safehouse i use mostly evac shelter (mostly safe outside) and later firestadion because it have good zombie-proff (until hulk apears) doors and bed ,what is realy helpfull because i have no idea where i can find blanket to make bed
I tend to sort things by function, keeping tools near crafting supplies - food by fireplace, etc - except for clothes. Extra clothes all go on my bed tile, so I have extra warm things to nest in at night.
You damn well bet I do that irl too haha. Extra cozy.
Since ‘local’ playground is boring, using a vehicle as mobile base is much more convenient.
So, all floor trunks, 1 fridge, 1 bed, 1 kitchen, 1 welding rig, 1 recharge station and all of this is nicely sorted. One for ammunition, one for weapons, one for spare parts, 2 or 3 for vehicle parts, and so on.
Mostly only the stuff really needed, but I like it sorted.
