Started off in a house, next to a military barricade.
There’s a police barricade a little further down the streets, the turrets are firing away at the zombies.
I go up to the window and close all the curtains but one to watch the battle.
The grenadier zombie is flinging grenades and tear gas hacks at the turrets
I close the curtain, fearful that the grenadier zombie may have seen me
I get curious and open up the curtain again
BOOM
Another death:
Tried to loot a library during daytime
There’s a slime pit somewhat close by, a good number of zombies are trapped in a car by a huge swarm of small blobs
The zeds are smashing around in the car
One of them blows up the gas tank
The fire spreads to the library

I rush in to try and loot the books before the entire place burns
The fire is getting worse
I tried firing my gun to kill bloated zombies inside the library
I miss at point-blank range (I’m using stats through skills mod, so my perception and dexterity both suck and I have no handguns skill) the sound attracted more zombies and the bloated zombies exploded
Half the library is engulfed in fire and zombies are closing in
The ceiling collapses on me right as I escape the poison gas cloud
I can’t get out in time
Right so, my first semi interesting death as a new player.
Start as cop, for bonuses with guns
Loot a couple military surplus stores on first day, MRE’s out the ass
Find duffel bag and 2 more surplus stores, ALL THE MRE’S
North edge of town, find a boarded up house to escape another group of zeds
pry open door, close it, nothing saw me, in the clear for my new base
Dumbass who secured the place didn’t close curtains on the windows that didn’t get boarded up

Started in the hospital died really quick as somehow the place got set on fire. didn’t even make it 30 tiles from the spawn point.

Wonderful start to a char (three LMOE shelters in a row with compatible ammo) and while walking in a field a zombear comes up and noms me to death before I notice.
Well, atleast it wasent death to the game crashing this time.
Started in the wilderness, wolf came out of no where and chased me down. Dead in under 60 seconds.
Being a new player this round was more or less the first where i knew what i was doing…

believe it or not that’s not how i died, i went down to the bottom floor to retrieve a mini nuke i found there… one of 30
i didn’t set the timer long enough, died 3 tiles from being safe from its blast

Well, been a good while since I had a good death. Played a broken cyborg in experiment scenario, loaded up on as many Fun mutations as I could. I was one finicky krav maga killing machine. Meandered down to a mall in search of much-needed medkits to remove my faulty bionics. Got in, racked up 30-odd kills, and got 2 first aid kits plus some other supplies out of it.
Then I got cocky. Night was falling, the horde was following me out the back lot, figured I could back out into the woods and leave a trail of bodies in my wake.
Let’s just…ignore the summer start making it claim I survived 91 days. In reality I didn’t last even one. o3o
I forgot that control laptops only made bots friendly for a short time.
Hulk. Was wandering around town with a jerrycan full of gas looking for a superbike I’d found earlier and wandered a street too far. Crossed a corner, hulk two squares away… dropped the gas, pulled out my Glock and got one shot off before I got smacked the first time. Realized I’d only had one shot in the first place because I’m an idiot and hadn’t reloaded after the last time I used it, tried reloading, got smacked again. Pulled my wakazashi and tried to run for it, only striking when he got close enough, got smacked through a window. Tried to get enough distance to reload and got smacked OUT of a window on the other side of the house and into the wall of the neighboring house resulting in my death.
I really need to start carrying a shotgun on my melee characters.

I got lucky and found a house with a fucktonne of guns and mods, so I got two sawn off shotguns, one I keep in my vehicle and the other one I carry with me all the time for when I stumble into Hulk’s, sure they’re loud AF but I rather have every zombie converge on me (which I can outrun) instead of risking it with a Hulk that can toss me around like a ragdoll.

It also turns out that when a stairwell says “You feel a LOT of heat coming up, are you sure you want to go down?” The correct answer, even with fireproof gear and thermal dissipation, is NO.
