I learned something new today, stop your vehicle before cashing in quests. I was on my way to the river to fill up on water when I passed an NPC who I had completed a quest for. I got him to teach me something as a reward and while learning my survivor continued driving strait into the river where he drown.

I just now died on my God-Character. After having slain 2130 zombies, finished 60% of a Baneblade, united 16 survivors under one roof, she died on day 260 of the Cataclysm. She was an Ascended Alpha character.

I was trying to clear out a FEMA Camp, and had my spawn rate clocked up to 25x at the time. I was dragging with me the Bulldog APT(From the vehicles discussion), and was firing pretty much non-stop into the hordes nearby. When suddenly the Turbolaser from my Bulldog accidentally penetrated its own Gas Tank(At 96% gas remaining), causing an Explosion that was then able to Vaporize the turret, and penetrate through my own Reinforced Heavy Power armor, plus my dermal armor, and deal roughly 600~ points of damage to all my limbs except my torso, which received 70 points.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that on my next survivor I’m going to have to reconfigure my next Bulldog to NOT include a retardedly explosive gas tank.

Well, the Turbolaser actually kind of operates more like a Plasma Cannon. It fires a beam that causes huge explosions(Like Radius-10 kind of huge). I actually thought it would eventually make itself explode, seeing as how it would catch itself in the blast radius on multiple occasions. But for the most part the Bulldog only glanced its own Armor.

Before they got removed, I created a Land Raider that had 6 Quad-SMG Turrets. Then it had more turrets elsewhere, and enough seats for 16 Passengers. Needless to say it wasn’t anywhere near Enuff Dakka, but it was still a damn lot of Dakka.

I found it on one of my worlds! Alas, the world had a rather severe issue whereby all of the tiles on my map were lost, meaning I could never again find my home. It’s rather neutered now that the Quad-turrets aren’t a thing anymore, but it would be quite the fun exercise to rebuild this thing and use Miniguns to mimick the “Assault Cannons”.

I’m all for the tank-mod guy to make “Twin Linked” Turrets. A Twin-linked minigun would be a downright terrifying thing to have now.

I’m sorely tempted to do that. Let’s see, which of the Imperium vehicles normally have twin-linked weaponry? Maybe make a Baneblade as a debug vehicle just for the hell of it…

The most I’ve ever pimped out a vehicle is when I re-purposed the interior of a swat truck as a compact mobile base with everything from chemistry labs to a kitchen buddy.

Maybe I should spend time making a large trailer truck base myself?
