How did you last die?

Whoa ease up on the flying citrus. We don’t need a lemonparty here.

The most recent death of CataRivet?

Scene: hotel basement, restroom
CataRivet is cornered by what looks like dozens of sewer snakes. Her suppressed Glock has run dry. Her clothes are in tatters. Her makeshift machete is her only remaining defense. She’s on the verge of death via snake-nibbling when she says ‘screw it’ and throws her backup molotov cocktail. Said molotov explodes, sending countless subterranean reptiles to their demise in the resulting conflagration. Room catches on fire. CataRivet staggers through the smoke and flames towards the door, managing to make it out of the room before being overcome by the smoke and full-body third degree burns right as she’s about to throw herself into the swimming pool in a vain attempt to extinguish her burning flesh.

One square away! One dang square!
Also, do not Google that italicized word, you have been warned.

Just driving home with a truck full of delicious loot.

Dum-dee-dum…

Just gonna cut through this town to save some time.
Hmf, tricky driving with all of these cars around. I can squeeze through there, yeah, no problem.
Oops.

HOLY SHIT.

At least you died as a hero , not by acidentaly exiting a car that is driving 16 km/h and breaking every single bone in your body just to get whopped dead by wolf caused bleeding.

I bumped into a car chassis from the side at ~16km/h. It bumped me back, I reached some incredible speed with a building right next to me…
The next thing I see is a bunch of explosions after the car hit the building, me being flung a few screens away after going through a wall and finally, the sweet embrace of death as I hit another wall.

Might have a new character go check the wreckage(s).

Well you died in a spectacular car wreck. I’d died from getting ejected from my bike into a bank housing several zombie hulks. I need to quit driving bikes.

I was stumbling through a lab with a loaded Remington 870 and 40 rounds in a desperate search for antibiotics to clean my infected bite wound. After about an hour of searching and blasting anything that looked at me funny, I was starving to death and dehydrated from the vomiting and I died from the infection. I didn’t know then that I could have used my nine medkits to clean the wound before it became infected in the first place.

Slax If you go check out the wreckage, make DAMN SURE it isn’t still exploding like that train wreck in Super 8. Which is pretty much how I imagine every vehicle accident in this game.

Meanwhile, I do stupid shit like step on my own spike pit traps the one time I actually have a shovel. Auuuugh.

I don’t know why , but med kits don’t clean my infected wounds.

But i guess that doesn’t matter when you are in a swamp , trying to hunt a deer that is already half dead by the 200 bullets you unloaded on it from your M249 and you fall down in a cavern. After 20 minutes of searching for the exit all you can do is light all the dynamites you have and do a desperate attempt to rocket jump out of there.

You can also use a knife, or something similar to cauterize the wound.

Once I died after having left my computer for a while, and by the time I got back I forgot my vehicle was in motion, so I got out.

I think that you have to do it before it is actually infected. So like right after you get bit.

i used it on the wound right after i got bit and it still was showing painful bite wound.
but im fine to just cauterize the wounds. At least that gives me reason to use the stronger painkillers.

Si I finally finished my deadmobile, basically a mobile home screwed on a flatbed, with plating all over, a couple mounted M249, a RV kitchen… And inside, food for months, all kind of clothing, every single book in the game, guns to shoot every kind of ammo and thousands of rounds.

As I was getting ready to try that baby and hunt the last few critters I hadn’t killed laready, I hit a car and get launched into a house. Not too bad, not my first accident by far. Except my explosive reserve was detonated by the shock, I had around 10 packs of C4 and a mininuke.

Dang.

I’m not sure how that works.

Me neither. But the explosions were centered on my explosive stockpile… Although I’m not so sure of it anymore, and my deathmobile had something like 6 gas tanks…

i used it on the wound right after i got bit and it still was showing painful bite wound.

I had the same experience. Also, when I cauterized it used four matches from my matchbook. For those of you who like to keep track of such things.

How do you people get so many batteries?
The most batteries i had got in a single life was no more than 5000 and that was not enough to create my car of dreams just because the solar panels are so extremely fragile and just touching a house wall with the side compleately destroyed 6 panels on the side that were behind a frame and all of the panels had steel plating.
And just putting the car together took me so long that i ran out of food and had to go hunt or search for more.

My first death

After finally being able to smash windows…
I House hop a few homes battling all kinds of Zoms, Window dancing like michael jacksons last moon walk.
There’s a Mill surplus in the distance i dash for it smashing the window making a mad grab for any loot
Find a few books lots of rations a combat knife and a rucksack finally!

Whats all this smoke ?
Oh crap where did all these zoms come from?
Im swinging my wood axe like a mad man chopping any and all who step in my way
Managing to beat the horde and there smoker buddy.

I see a doctors office across the road
Naturally i make a B-line for it as i have used up any FirstAid kits bandages and codeine after that massive battle
Two steps from the door Zzzap - Zzzap what the hell is this now?

Oh great its a shocker a mad load of zoms and zom dogs im running its zaping dogs chomping my behind i stop start swinging i fall…

/End

Not bad for a first run?
Was fun anyhow…

Cheers!

Hunting turrets and looting elecronic store will yield you a lot of batteries, but most generally I wait to find an integrated toolset. Together with a metabolic interchange, you have a quick way to convert wolves into cars.

And I never used solar panels or an electric car.

How did you get all the weapons , i usually get 1-3 assault weapons in military bunkers and weak regular weapons in gun shops.

And i didn’t know that its possible for explosives to explode while they are stored in a container.

My character died in mid-winter, so I had plenty of time to search for weapons. Weapons in gun shops aren’t all weak. I carried a Browning BLR with a longer barrel, and I could one-shot anything at 60 squares.
