How did you last die?

Common opinion on these forums: “oh ya, Subways and manholes are a nice way to escape the horde.”

Yeah, that’s true. They’re also a GATE TO FIREY BRIMSTONE HELL.
All those tasty future CBM: Gates?
Guess where they lead.
That’s right. The subway.

Was a nice slow death, coughing spores, getting beaten by fungal youngsters while sleeping, then fungal crap bursting out of my hands … and well, with both arms broken there’s not much fun left. I wonder where all the hospitals are, NEVER found one so far.[/quote]
You don’t want a hospital, you want a lab or a beehive. Royal Jelly kills off the fungus and cleanses the body of it.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh. Now that you mention it. I’ve had like 20 Royal Jelly in my trunk. Too late.

Acid rain + fungaloid.

I recently found a nice LMOE shelter that was on the extreme edge of fungaloid territory (allowing me to kill the occasional one for food, but being far enough out that it wasn’t really a problem). Sadly as I was in the process of carting a bunch of stuff by hand from my old lab base to the new LMOE shelter I got hit by a storm of acid rain. After having my pain pushed all of the way up to 100 I had the misfortune to stumble upon a single fungaloid. My speed then being 25 at the time due to the pain, upon seeing it I had the chance to take approximately 2 steps before I died from multiple attacks.

My last guy died to two soldier ants and a giant ant. I decided to check out an ant hill as I’ve previously never explored one before and was alongside the road I was travelling, so I thought why not? Yeah… soldier ants are not to be messed with unprepared. Sadly, I was driving a vehicle and probably could have escaped, but felt stupidly brave.

I was emptying a bottle of whiskey, when my character got hungry. So, I started a fire and we…

Yeah, never got further than the we. I was already burning to death.

40mm is fun.

that is all.

made a new file separate from my vehicle file, and played around till I found a launcher and some 40mm, needless to say I killed myself with 40mm. again

Attempted to use vehicles for the first time (in-game) with no driving skill. Entered a parked SUV, began to spin out towards a building after driving maybe four squares before panicking and attempting to leap out. My 14 (!!!) strength character with green in all locations instantly died as every bone in his body shattered at the same time.

I assume my poor dexterity had something to do with it.

Did you take your Nuyquill?

So i barely managed to escape a horde of zombie dogs when i come across a cougar.
He isn’t a very nice fellow so he began to pursue me.
I managed to run over to a parking lot and found a bike.
Hoping i would be able to speed away from the feline i hop on.
First time on a bike so i swerved and hit the side of a building.
Cougar pounces on me and my now toppled bike.
Yeeeeah wasn’t a good experience

That must have been one flying SUV to instakill you.

Swarmed and smoked to death with like 300 skill in everything. I managed to fight my way out of the swarm then ‘You cough heavily’ game over.

Darn!
Had a knuckle fight with a shockerbot deep down the Lab dungeon… he kept like six hacking tools in his tiny shell and kept frying my clothes. I was already looking for an exit when a scientist Z jumped on me, so i dodged into a room with pits. So he mutated himself into a blob and caught me pulling knives out of the stupid robot. With severe pain in my torso, it was just a matter of time when I’d stumble upon a turret merry enough to blast me on sight. Didn’t even see it, though…

Tried to raid a FEMA camp, using the bushes to out smart the zombies…

Bloody zombie scientists outsmarted me. They walked right on up, dropped an acid flask on the bush, and laughed as the soldier zombies swarmed…

Zombie scientists are dicks.

not half a day after I raided a bee hive for some royal jelly to cure my fungles I hold down the movement key into a worm field and die with 4 guns an installed bionic and some good mutations…

Business as usual: stop car, pull handbrake, exit, save game - go to sleep - load up game - enter vehicle. DA FUQ? It’s moving! --Game Over–

I brought some hundred or so onto a suburban home, only to make minimal fuss downtown. Once I made my way through, they came down on me like a plague - 20 or 30 from each direction, and in various colors and flavors. Trying to ply a window wasted valuable time, and in the end invited them all in. With no standing ground, I tried to lose them in an alley but they slowed down my attempts to dodge.
Apparently, it takes more than one guerilla attempt to be certain there will be nothing in your way whilst fully ladden.

Got a NX-17 charge rifle couldn’t stop it charging it over charged and the thing just blew up in my hands…

Loaded up an old save and found Dark Matter, my 19500kg double wide military truck. I was like huh, I wonder how many buildings this thing can crash through, then proceeded to crash through an entire town. My destruction spree ended when I hit a stove and it exploded.

I got through 8 houses and a bank vault by the way.

Decided to run an archer surviving on the animals I kill, dig a large spike pit wall around my tent, get the common cold due to 12+ hours of cold and rain, strength so low couldn’t fire bow… zombies… freaking zombies.
