This is news to me…
Since I have never found an entire barrel of whiskey, I’ll have to ask is it an actual wooden barrel or an aluminum keg, and if I fill up a container to the top using bottles of whiskey and then drink that will it count?
It’s a wooden barrel, and I’ll allow it if you can get that much whiskey.
I might try the challenges. What names are taken? New or modified challenges? New milestones?
I guess now is as good a time as any.
Here’s my progress so far. Hoping these screenshots are sufficient proof.
This should be 5 challenges and 1 milestone completed. I just need to know if the monocle is an absolute necessity for that milestone, and if yes, do they spawn in clothing or jewelry stores?
Get that monocle and you’re in.

Most common place I find monocles is actually in the bedroom-type areas of labs. Top hats and wedding veils, too.
I might try those as well, but I’m sure others like me would want to see how legit those challenges are in the current builds ( which got harder, which got easier kinda stuff )

I got some fancy clothes already. Not really enough for a full suit, but I possess the monocle of fancyness.
“The road to Godhood begins with a single monocle.”
EDIT: Actually I checked earlier. I have two monocles for true fancyness.

FOR BOTH EYES
Here is my character, (Subject) Nine, attempting these challenges.
I’m a Chimera mutant, passed the threshold and everything.
[hr]
Admittedly, this one was really easy - I mean, 4 hits? Really?
I burned through 7 money bundles killing it.
CONSUME THE SLAIN. HEAL ALL AILMENTS.
I think this one would’ve turned out better if I used unarmed instead of cutting.
I tried to make it run out of ammunition, but I ran out of patience and just killed it.
Not sure if I have enough martial arts styles, but if I don’t, just tell me how many more I need.
Here’s some challenge/milestone suggestions for the builders/crafters/mechanics/survivalists out there. After all, there are other ways to play besides “kill and consume everything”:
-Build a drivable vehicle entirely out of materials found in forest/map tiles. No cabins, campsites, etc. Tools used must also be made from scratch using forest and swamp materials. No integrated toolset. Crash sites are your only valid source of metal. Skills and recipes can be learned in urban areas, and all other aspects of survival can be taken care of in urban areas, but all materials and tools used specifically for this challenge must be acquired from forest/swamp map tiles.
-Build a drivable ELECTRIC vehicle with the same conditions above, except the following materials/items can be taken from urban areas and brought to the forest: rubber hoses, plastic bowls, lead, copper, a soldering iron (batteries not included), and a spray can.
-Build a fully autonomous manhack/plutonium farm using zombie scientists that allows for the automatic spawning and killing of manhacks, and all you have to do is wait and collect the loot.

There’s 25 different martial arts books currently.
Better find a monocle then!
Well, I did have a run in with a hulk yesterday while looting a school for books.
I would’ve actually took the unarmed challenge, unfortunately:
- There were other nasty zombies there, like brutes thanks to a zombie master I ( fortunately ) disposed of.
- The tank was damaged by manhacks. Of course, I could’ve just killed him and come back some other day, but… Yeah, some other time. At least I know he’s there. He’s not escaping me next time.
This hasn’t been possible in the experimentals for like a year - zcientists only drop 3 manhacks each, and they don’t get more when they revive.
Yeah, made me sad, too. The closest thing now is trying to hack an analyzer in a lab with low computer skill, but I’m pretty sure you’ll eventually succeed, and then that analyzer won’t drop them anymore.

I honestly don’t know how bionics work any more. I’m pretty sure you can install bionics even if you’re at capacity. Can someone clue me in?

Those are a bit long. I like to keep the challenges to a sentence or two. How about “build a working vehicle using only a single helicopter crash site, outside tools allowed.”

That seems too easy. A single crash site has more than enough metal to make 2 frames, 2 wheels, and foot pedals from scratch. Then you would only need a sheet for the seat. A big part of these challenges is making your tools from scratch as well. How about this:
-Build a working vehicle using forest, swamp, and crash site materials only, using only tools also made from those areas.
-Build an electric vehicle with the same rules above, plus the following materials can be taken from elsewhere: hoses, plastic bowls, lead, copper, a spray can, and a soldering iron (batteries not included).
Sounds alright, adding.
I like the idea of more survival-oriented challenges. How about “Memorize all food and drink recipes”, since that would require being able to generate enough ingredients to make them all. Possibly extendable to “have one of each craftable food and drink item in your lab/base/vehicle/backpack”
Alriiight. Cool.
If you would look at the end of this album again you will see 2 new pictures detailing how I finally found a monocle.
Sweet, first new god in a while! Name and sphere, please!
Minh Collins, God of ScienceMutation.
Between my high Electronics and Cooking skills, solar roller with laser and tesla cannon (soon to be set up for mass mutagen production), and Medical threshold I’d say it’s a good fit. Also I couldn’t make up my mind on anything more specific.
Scratch that, Science feels too broad. I passed the Prototype/Medical threshold, have the mutagen addiction trait, outfitted my vehicle for mass mutagen production, and we already have a Cybernetics god. It’s fitting to have a god for the other kind of end-game enhancement. God of Mutation.
