Field of Vision

Would it be possible to create a mod to where the player and enemies have a directional field of vision? Maybe we can use shift+directional keys to change orientation. This would add a layer of strategy and make stealth more viable. I’m sure that the ai would have to be tweaked to accommodate detection. Maybe even add traits and cbm’s to expand the view.

I think it’s been discussed but would be pretty hard to implement. Probably not happening.

It’d be a huge change to the game, with invasive effects in lots of places. You couldn’t do it in a mod and it’d be hard to do as an option. Also, the developers who understand the code well enough to implement it have other things they’d rather work on.
