Explosive Vehicle Turrets (why they suck, and how to fix them)

I can’t be the only one who’s been significantly inconvenienced by a grenade turret trying to kill a zombie dog right next to my vehicle/base/etc.

If there was some sort of rangefinder add-on that you could put in any vehicle space with a turret, you could configure it to be like:

“M249 Turret will shoot anything within at least -1 tiles, but no further than 5 tiles”

“Grenade Turret will shoot anything within at least 8 tiles, but no further than 20 tiles”.

Just examples, but I think we need some way to control targeting range.

Minimum range might be useful, but…in real life, 40mm grenades, rockets, etc have a minimum arming distance for a reason. This would prevent explosive fuckups by players, NPCs, and turrets alike.

Or you can rely on manual firing, unless you’re in 0.C stable. Less wasteful anyway. ;A;
