Not the programming language but the actual language the computer is on. The file is a json and should open as a regular text file would. System locale is used for a computer to interprete text from another language when the computer is set to another.

Errrr…yes? Or, well, first I downloaded the file, stuck it in the proper place in the data>mods folders, and it didn’t show up in the game list of mod options.

So, then I opened the file up in Notepad (and later Notepad++), and had a file full of symbols and whatnot. Clearly, I’m missing some important step here. I’ll cop to being less than computer savvy in a lot of areas.

You first need to extract the contents of the .rar using a program like 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) or WinRAR and then move the contents to the mods folder.

Hello.

I have a small problem. I use the recent experimental (I update every day or two when it doesn’t crash/ break compatibility) and recently added this mod to my game, when I imported my save.

I found a laser sniper; it’s great, a bit better than my A7, but don’t have any build in burst option. There is a slot for “mechanism conversion” that should go with the “MX-84 Select Fire Mod” however, it’s the same problem for lot of gun in this mod- they simply doesn’t works atm.

I don’t know much about modding/ coding in this game - so I don’t know what is wrong. This happen for lot of guns, so I didn’t tested all.

As a solution, for now, I simply added the mod I wanted (and already found) as a “build in mod” in the json file, and respawn the weapon. It allow me to use special modded part for now.

So the mod for the gun does not work? Is the mod atleast accepted by the gun?

No mod is accepted by the gun but the “normal” one you have in the “normal” game. Special mod (like the one I talked about, or other like LMG carry handle) just aren’t accepted for me.
however it works as build-in mod.

To make it clear, they works but can’t be added manually in game.

I see, so it’s the mod’s gun mods that can’t be added to guns. I’ll poke it around when I get some free time.

A problem here, when ever I get close to a survivor encampment the game crashes, not sure if this is a result of all the other mods I’am running.

It may be because the game uses to many resources loading the emcampment and crashes the game. If this is the case then the game should also crash when there are too many minutes or items around.

fast cars, intense fighting, large hordes, npcs, large trucks of items, all eat memory.

game crashed 3x on me yesterday while i explored.

So ya, I can’t get close to the survivor encampment. I don’t think it’s that my computer can’t handle it, mainly because it crashes the second it gets into the reality bubble, it’s also not because of mods. Any suggestions? Also I would love to see a picture of the survivor encampment, and all the loot in there.

Try a new test world and teleport there using the debug tools to ser if it is not your specific world.

Wow, I haven’t updated the game in a month…and the mods has more errors…might be related to your issue.
