Perhaps if your demand was more threatening. And did you just ignore everything I said, huh? How rude. You would do well, to put it out of your mind.
Methinks there should be a vote on this.
Don’t forget to vote!

Well, I’m definitely never playing this, Lazycat.
How fucking hard could it be to only make the Snake template apply to your “leaderboards”?
Just open the template up in notepad, near the beginning there is8 10 8 9 8 12 8 11
this is your main stats, don’t touch the 8s, the number after each is current value (Str, Dex, Int, Per), raise them up, save, then run the game and lower them to what you initially wanted, and play around with the extra points.
I’m having a good bit of fun with this mod, when I get bored of vanilla I can play this, and when I get bored of this I go play vanilla some more.
Also makes it quite a bit easier to run 2 characters at once.
DOWNLOAD (25. May): MGSmod rev.44
If there are no any bug reports in the next few days consider MGSmod rev.44 build to be the final release.
Hmm, that one has piqued my interest. Can I ask how you made that work?

Of course you may ask, it’s why I’m here. It’s my gift, my curse.
Who am I? I’m your friendly neighbourhood Driver-man!
Driver-man, Driver-man, does whatever a driver can
Spins a code any size, catches bugs just like flies
Look out, here comes the Driver-man!
Is he strong? Listen bud, he’s got radioactive blood
Can he swing from a thread? Take a look overhead
Hey, there! There goes the Driver-man!
In the chill of the night
At the scene of a crime
Like a streak of light
He arrives just in time!
Driver-man, Driver-man, friendly neighborhood Driver-man
Wealth and fame he’s ignored, thrill & action is his reward
Look out, here comes the Driver-man!
I can not enlarge viewport beyond 12 width x 12 height…
Yes, it’s because many things in the game have been made relative to that size, it’s actually 25x25. I also haven’t tested with larger screen size and I know some things wouldn’t work properly or would cause visual imperfections, so I’d rather not have it at all. I also think larger screen size ruins the atmosphere of tension and suspense.
Look at some other games, Metal Gear for example:
… they have even less tiles visible, but I don’t think anyone ever thought there is anything wrong with it. That’s how most of the top-down view games are, nothing larger even fits on my screen if I want to keep font size readable. Anyway, what screen size would you like to play with? What’s your monitor resolution? Can you post a screenshot of your whole desktop with the game running at your desired size?
MGSmod rev.45
Few more bug-fixes pending, are there any other bugs? There is now also extended morale combo boost for kills with vehicles. Driving over zombies can really make you happy, as well as killing many of them at once by fires and explosions, or as before by chain linking kills one after another with firearm, hand combat or melee weapons.
I play at 1680x1050, 25x25 anyway sounds good.

I’m waiting to see if anyone would find any more bugs. How’s sleeping, reading and waiting on your computer, do you think it should go faster?
By the way, for your resolution you could try using larger font than 15x15. You have 400 pixel more than me, divided by 80 that’s 5 pixels more per character. Edit “fontdata” file in ./data folder and change numbers 15 15 to 20 20, or whatever number in between, that might make it better for your resolution, it should definitively make it bigger all together.
Go faster? No, its ok,
I found a problem (bug?), if changing the sector map then the previous explored sector disappears.
Thanks
That was accidental side effect of one bug-fix. I thought I’d leave it like that to make “roadmap” item more useful. Perhaps it doesn’t make much sense, but if you find a roadmap just use it and that will uncover the whole map you are currently on, and point you to some interesting locations.
By the way, have you found secret room in church tower?
Did you figure out how to chain-kill monsters, how many did you take down in a row?
Chain-kill is when you get the message: “You are glad those monsters are dead (xN)”. The number in brackets tells you how many kills you linked together. The more kills you can chain the more morale boost you get. It’s not easy with firearms and melee until you have good skills, and speed is important too, so drugs can be helpful. But with a car, it’s easy.
Do you think required mechanics and electrical skill to hot-wire vehicles should be higher, 4 instead of 3?
Tip: if there are mines or traps on the road and you are driving too fast to avoid them or break on time, try pulling a handbrake and steer on side.
Lazycat, you really should put something into the secret room in churches.
EDIT: Nevermind, I posted the first time I found one, and it had nothing in it. The second one had some stuff in it though.
Was it easy to find? Was it easy to get out?
There is one in nine chance for any of the following weapons to spawn there:
itm_v29
itm_ftk93
itm_nx17
itm_hk_g80
itm_plasma_rifle
itm_flamethrower
So if you visit, say 3-5 churches you should find at least one of those there. That’s probably even too much considering those are ones of the best weapons and that the room is not so secret once you know where it is. I just put them all there in one place when I tested new visual and sound effect for them. If you want it to be different than how it is now, tell me about it.

Hi, I’m KA101, and one of my biggest problems with the MGS line (have completed 1 & 2, have 3 but disc glitched north of Rassvet, do not have a PS3 so can’t play 4) has been the frickin’ camera never quite providing enough information. (Don’t get me started about having to hold a button for aiming–FPV ought to be a toggle.) Therefore, I object to screen size limitations based on MGS.

It’s fine as far as I’m concerned, although I found a H&K G80 and a Plasma rifle in the second one, also, it crashed when I went to post this.
It was kinda easy when I looked at it. Also, why the random computer?
I just checked this and the game actually does remember what was explored in the previous map. It’s just that it only shows one map at the time, the one you are in. But if you go back to the previous map you will be able to see everything you explored before.
The game crashed? Can you describe where were you and what were you doing, any NPCs around, anything burning or anything like that? Or even better if you saved the game just before please give me that save file.

The computer is supposed to have option to ring the bell, which is… supposed to attract all the zombies from the city to gather around the church.
If you happen to meet any zombies in the tower try kicking them into the hole, it’s fun, and it probably needs more testing.

No NPCs, I did use debug to find a church, nothing burning, and I was standing on the stairs of the secret room while posting on here.

I attracted a swarm, and kicked the fresh zombies down the hole, I didn’t find a corpse at the bottom though.
