Ok, toned down zombie children and got all the bug fixes from DDA in relation to foraging.

Sometimes I just want to use chuck Norris style on zombies.

Hehe, i could totally add that as an options. It could say things like;

“Your beard fist punches the zombie”

Also I’ve noticed the children-z don’t respect the “don’t spawn before 9:30 AM”, so you can’t really do anything during the first morning since they jump you.

They dont, and neither do zome zombies anymore.

These are static spawns, so there are a limited amount, but they are at the start of the outbreak.

So, on a good note, along with all the bug fixes, I will be pushing out a minor update. This update slows bleeding a little bit “in theory”

And also, now zombies try to actually bite you!

If you are unlucky you can suffer a particularly nasty bite, which require a first aid kit to fix, and if you ignore that bite, well, lets just say things get interesting.

With a fresh install, i don’t have the bug where the game hangs up.
Why i can update DDA with a few Terminal lines, and not CZS ?

Also, i think the little z are too overwhelming.
And i’ve been bleeding a lot from a bad fight, but i think it’s fair, i was naked.

Is it set up so that they only spawn to a certain population in a location and then never increase again? That’s one of the things I don’t really like in cataclysm. Plus it’s annoying cleaning out a city and have a new horde waiting when you return.

Yes they spawn once, and never again, so once you kill them all they are gone from that location. I will review them and see if balances need to be made.

Ok, so I will lay out the basics of zombies that can now actually bite you, and infection. (This is not BTW Zombie virus infection, just regular wound infection)

Ok, first off a Zombie type, has to bite you. They all have a somewhat different ability to bite, but it should be balanced. Also, child zombies dont bite.

A Zombie will lunge at you(If they are standing next to you)
He will do his bite attack, yes your dodge skill factors into avoiding this attack.

IF he bites you, you have a chance of the bite wound being particularly nasty.

If it is a BAD bite wound, we go into the following.

First 2 hours, your player will complain about his painful bite wound, but no ill effects yet.

4 hours after being bitten, if you haven’t treated your bite wound, it will become very painful, and you will see your pain going up.
You also have a slight dex penalty.

You have 6 hours to be able to treat a bite wound with a simple first aid kit.

After 6 hours the bite wound becomes infected.

You now have higher pain buildup to counter, as well as the previously inflicted dex penalty and a slight str penalty.

12 hours after a bad bite your infected wound becomes "Painfully Infected"
Your pain goes up again to a higher level, and you now have a bigger dex and str penalty.

18 hours after a bad bite your wound now becomes seriously infected. This means its full of puss, and turning green.
The symptoms are the same as above, but you also have random vomiting.

24 hours after the bad bite you have serious issues.
In addition to all the above, you now have a chance of passing out for a few minutes due to fever and being weak.

30 hours later, if you havent treated your wound, you will die.

Once a wound gets infected, the only way to cure it is to take some antibiotics.
If you take antibiotics to cure an infection, you will suffer a mild penalty to dex and str for around 2 hours. After that you are good to go.

Should probably add some wound cleansers.

Can you cut your own leg or arm, and try to live like this ?

It’s not like it’s the real deal. It’s just a nasty infected wound. I mean, zombies don’t brush, right? Not to mention the putrified, rotten flesh. :slight_smile: Good day will be had by all. :stuck_out_tongue:

I could… add that… but the way diseases work in Cataclysm they aren’t confined to a specific body part so it would be kind of a hack.

Add nail gun rifles. Make them not gai.

By the way it seems you can get the Android trait (free) if you get these traits
Fleet Footed, Fast Healer, Night Vision, Light Step // Heavy Sleeper, Glass Jaw, Thruth Teller, Ugly

? Like it gives you the trait? Even if you cant pick it from the trait menu?

well, that wont work.
