Yeah, let’s wait with that until I get a proper hosting and domain, so it doesn’t choke when people actually come to register & vote. I hope to get this done during this week.
One more note: the database is stable, so hopefully everything will be carried to the properly hosted version.
My todo items (user-visible things only) are now only cosmetic:
[ul][li]Show user’s votes in the same format as on the main pages[/li]
[li]Move logout button to user’s profile page[/li]
[li]Add a link/button for bug reporting[/li][/ul]
Also I’m looking for hosting, strong preference for a box that I can SSH to and fix/check stuff live. This needs Ruby >= 2.x, bunch of gems (some may need compiling), and some DB back-end (sqlite or ‘better’). It’s standalone as it gets. The target domain for this is iv.cataclysmdda.com
I’ll start bothering my friendly admins this week to see where it can be put with least effort.
Just got it hosted: http://178.217.184.42:8111/all
I’m awaiting official domain and it’ll be up for ‘official launch’.
All user accounts, votes etc. have been carried over, you’ll just need to login due to IP change.
Bumping with:
Official URL: http://iv.cataclysmdda.com:8111
Since this is working now, i’d think it needs a bit more advertisment and integration. Bump!
I did my civic duty!
Posted a sticky on the announcements board, planning on putting a mention in the 0.C release.
