It’s not mainlined content. It’s a mod.
If you want to see a fix for something you care about, I recommend learning enough JSON editing to contribute a fix. It’s your itch and you shouldn’t expect someone else to scratch it.

Just for the reference. Bright Nights was restarted as full fledged separate game forked off CDDA. It is alive now.
