How about a lighter that works like a flashlight (In terms of being activated to be turned on and uses gasoline(?) as fuel and providing a small amount of light). This:
a) Allows a use of the magnitude of lighters we find laying about in using them as a light source
b) Allows a way of remotely starting fire without using a Molotov (ie. lighting a patch of gasoline)
That would require a Zippo or other Expensive/Refillable Lighter. The Cheap Lighters available now are the Bic-type, IIRC, and you’d have to Wield it in order to maintain the flame. (Basically, you hold down the button to keep the fuel flowing.)
