I’ve updated the game several times the last days, but this bug gets me with every version. For debug logs I used the actual version seen above.
Everytime I start a new game (or load a savegame from an earlier version) I see the main game screen. It is possible to look after stats and into the inventory. But after I walk some tiles the game crashes and throws me back to windows. Mostly after 2-3 tiles, sometimes I am able to walk to the next map tile before it crashes. Maybe it’s something with the reality bubble (but I really don’t know).
It may also be a similar problem like in this thread (http://smf.cataclysmdda.com/index.php?topic=13052.0)
I’ll attach four debug logs. Beware of lenght
To notice:
I started a new, blank vanilla world with no mods
The logs depends on four random chars which where created via “play now” in the main screen
To trigger the crash just walk outside the shelter (I choose east). In my game the char could only walk about 20-30 tiles until it ended with the error.
There is really nothing more I did.

Ok. I tried to play the newest build (0.C-17528-g495100b (tiles) - build 5374)
No chance. Same crash.
Maybe I need a full clean new installation of the game. I’ll try this and report the outcome
I’m playing on Windows 10.
Loaded your savegame and tried it 3 times on my pre-compiled 2 days old tiles download (1a74cd5) and 3 times on my more recently pulled (tonight) debug build (6c7f374d).
Unable to reproduce it. Managed to run all the way to the big mall that’s east of the shelter every time (and get beaten to death by moose or zombies).
In the meantime I made a fresh install of cataclysm and all components I am usually using. At the moment it works. But I have absolutelly no clue what was wrong with my old setup.
My next steps are to add graphics, sounds, mods… until I reach the setup from before. I hope it keeps running, if not, maybe I could gather more informations. Maybe it was only a personal bug on my machine?
I’ve had this kind of thing happen before. I think it’s usually a preset character I build that becomes invalid or something. Even though the game is generally stable I blow it all away periodically and fresh install it (saving my config and a few other bits).
