Pet peeve of mine, “trade goods with intrinsic value” are not “currency”, they’re trade goods. In particular, they will not:

1. Be accepted universally.
2. Have a universal value.

What’s the general consensus on using cigarettes as the main trading currency in the game? Historically it seems when money loses it value or there is anarchy people end up using four things as currency, food, gold/silver, bullets, and cigarettes. Food would be too bulky to carry around as a currency, as well as that, there’s the problem of valuing it when there are a huge variety of types. Counterfeit money facility (please do not delete :P)

The spam thread about countefeit money got deleted, and with it the idea it gave me: Fliers about buying counterfeit money with real money. (In gang members maybe) A printing facility (found very rarely in house basements) maybe destroyed in a gang war, the player finding it half-destroyed, with Zeds and gang corpes. Vending machines

Lots of junkfood/drinks but you have to break them to get into them, which sounds an alarm and attracts zombies? And maybe there would be a ‘vending machine key’ item that when you get it you can open them without the alarm going off? Just a idea

Money Money Money and machines

MONEY $$$ I would like to see a money system in place since the game world seems way too rural for a place set in the future. It’s the future, I think there should be machines in some stores like automated gas pumps at gas stations, which would cost money to buy fuel, or vending machines for small items like water, soda, lighters, cigarettes, (possibly ammo at gun stores), etc. Money to trade for gear with traveling Npc’s And for the crazy fuel to keep that fire nice and toasty. also possib…
