This could be a mod, I don’t know anything about how to mod; but I think this would be super cool. UFO spawns, sectoids, mutons, alien alloy armor and everything else from XCOM. Besides, we need more aliens to make us miserable in CDDA, why not the aliens from XCOM?

I do want to try, but realize that I lack basic coding skills. I’ve never used JSON either I guess you could say I’m a tech retard. I know how to put mods in the mod folder and that’s it. Does the guide cover entry level stuff? I’d be going in completely blind
In the time it took you to write that were a tech newbie, you could have followed the link to the guide and read that it assumes that people are tech newbies and covers entry level stuff.
I doubt there will be coding involved unless you go with the psionic abilities, many of the contributors are happy to help, and if you get to the point that coding is required, someone may help you as it’s happened in the past. JSON Is only complicated for a couple of hours but if you look at similar things in the files you can learn pretty quickly.
I mostly just wish the maintainer of http://xcomrl.blogspot.com/ would finally go back to that from Cogmind. And for a pony. Always a pony.
