It’s not all of them, and it seems to change at random. I don’t really understand why it does this. I image this kind of thing may pop up when in a bad light level, but presumably that would effect every book.

Why do some books (sometimes) show up as pink and take longer to read a chapter?

IIRC Pink means you don’t have the required skill to easily understand the book
