What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I was off to a pretty decent start; managed to get a few minor CBMs installed myself after setting up the starting shelter as a decent base; hoarding supplies and wondering what kind of vehicle I was going to make. It all went horribly wrong when I fought a zombie cop (or zombie soldier? I’m not sure, I’m pretty bad about not paying attention to that, I just know he was blue) exploded in my face after I killed it. Somehow, I survived, except both my arms are broken.

Consequently, my focus has changed to finding a way into a lab, since I cannot seem to splint my own limbs and the only time I went in a lab (in a previous game) I think I saw something in there that could do the job.

What makes me sad the most is:

“You cannot wield a sledgehammer with only one arm.”

Cop, and how the hell did he explode? Someone let him have explosives?

Hospitals have bone-healing things, bring your hacking skills.

I’m making hundred of dehydrated meat. y’know, just in case. i allready have 500. to get the meat i put bear traps all around my base, and my dehydrating is constantly interrupted by them making a catch. im hoping i can depopulate the area and finnally live in peace. anyone know if its possible to kill all the animals?

Yep, you cant. Wildlife is never static, it has no population. Thats why giant wasps are so much fun, because they go and expand to cap out the limit.

Yeah, without the burden of civilization, these animals are living in fucking paradise.

Dark blue are zombie cops; zombie soldiers are dark green. If you were using fire in any way, it might have dropped ammo into that, but otherwise I have no idea.

To fix broken arms, you either need lost of computer skills and a hospital, or an arm splint. If you have one and can’t (W)ear it, then you’re stuck with the hospital. At any rate, be prepared to hole up somewhere for a day or two because the hospital method causes a lot of pain, and a split pretty much makes it impossible to hit things.

Well, the fire thing might be a consequence of lighting fires to kill zombies.

The zombies drop ammo and then the ammo explodes.

Terrible things happened when my ammo cache was ignited. I had ~30 40mm grenades on there, not to mention the normal ammo, C-4, dynamite, etc.

One of my more interesting characters died. Dave started out as a weak-minded, drug-addicted nobody. Once he made it through the detox and kicked heroin he became very deadly with a bow and cleared many towns.

During his final raid he went too deep into a large city and ran out of arrows. Moving from house to house being chased by a giant horde, he obtained many wounds, including an infected bite on his chest. In desperation he found himself crawling out of a bathroom window just as the horde tore down the door. He ran through the nearby forest, losing the zombies but picking up a few four legged followers. He found a semi on the road and shut himself inside just as the wolves were going for the kill. Finding himself very close to death with an infected wound and no means to help himself, Dave turned back to his old life. For the next 30 minutes, he went through his pack, doing every narcotic he could find, including sucking down 5 full inhalers. He then sat in relative comfort in the back of the semi, wondering if that was how Charlie Sheen felt as a pack of wolves came through the windshield and approached.

A short compilation of my adventures…

My char creation. Changed that…

Not sure what happened here. Fucking rats.

FOOOD Too bad I was carnivore.

The end of a different char.

You passed by a swamp but never went Jabberwock hunting?

Commit suicide? (y)
Last words: “wtf is wrong with this world”

Well, how to put it.

Started a new world with NPCs on, look at the map, and there was a hospital nearby. The NPC at the evac shelter asked me for some antibiotics. I then went too said hospital, proceeded to get covered in pink vomit, acid, THEN I found a shit tonne of drugs ( oxycodone, codeine, aspirin, cocaine, heroin, drug dealer corpses, meth, you get the idea). Proceeded to down 3 doses of cocaine, find a Mr. Stem cell, proceed to hack it after 5 attempts, and then I used it.

Turns out it’s a bad idea to use those. My bones started disintegrating, and I waited for my inevitable death, which didn’t come until I waited an hour, I then proceeded to haul ass out of there. Nick ‘Havok’ Parker didn’t last 5 minutes afterwards…

All that within the timespan of 3 hours.
BEST RAMBO RUN EVER!

I’ve been away for awhile, just got back to my computer and started up a new game with the latest experimental, had an average start at an evac shelter on a road in the forest (nothing in the basement), but there were no cities within sight, so I decided to clear out the only buildings in sight, some apartments nearby.
I found barely any loot, but did find a few backpacks, some food, beer, and wine (no clean water), and a couple books, so I decided to stop for awhile and read.
I’m sitting just inside the glass doors reading and I get several Monster warnings from miscellaneous wildlife, dogs mostly.

Then several Moose show up and I get a Moose Spotted warning instead of Monster Dangerously Close, that was funny, but when did Moose get their own personal warning?

Anyways I followed my first instinct; run to the opposite side of the apartments, leap out the window, and start sprinting away (into unknown territory). There were several ways in for a determined Moose considering the zombies wrecked the place, and I didn’t want to hide in a closet and hope they just went away (Haha, fat chance of that).
Now it’s getting close to night time so I’ve got to be careful, but the dice chose Bionic Agent as my profession giving me CBM: Night Vision, so I should be able to explore safely for atleast one night by flickering my NV on and off periodically (and hoping a Jabberwock doesn’t start running at me from just outside my vision right after I turn it off…)…

Went to drop off some loot at my shelter-home and found the NPC Urist McPrudent running around outside. He was wielding a butchering knife and trying to kill a cat.

Well played, game.

I ran over a trap field at 1,209 MPH, lost all my tires, and now I’m skidding indefinitely.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh god.

Jump out? But that might kill you…

It’s maintained speed, this thing is two RV wrecks that I was driving around and added even more onto.

I’m currently running around the country-side burning everything with a flare gun. Dressed in full tactical gear, except for tactical pants…instead I opted for a tactical fur loin-cloth.

Well, sooner or later it will meet:

 1. A river. (no-fun sink)
 2. A house(s) (funny, yet deadly)
 3. Lots of zombies. :3

Joy!
