2 bumps made you faster than a hulk better. and ALL bags had 8 bumps in them.
if you want craftable narcotics than id suggest researching it and modding it in. or adding it to main game
I too would like craftable coke. at least a makeshift version…
but doesnt meth do speed boost and addiction and is craftable?
Today I see the true power of a tank drone that brings fire and destruction to where it goes.
The deadly team of 4 necromancers, 1 zombie master, and a hulk, cannot hurt a tank drone at all.
Damn, I’ve only run into 2 tank drones(a total of 3 times), luckily my ferromagnetic rail rifle turret on my vehicle took them out, the first one needing a follow up shot from the pulse laser turret, but the second one was a one shot kill, not sure if it had already been damaged. Why I say a total of three times is because the first time I didn’t know what the heck was going on as I was clearing a town at night, and all of a sudden I got safe mode locked and it said something about a red beam targeting me, so I ran like hell only the next day to find out what it had been. I had a control laptop on me both times i killed one, but forgot to try and override it… whoops.
I’ve also not seen a chicken walker, but have had an encounter with one 2 tiles away from me, but it was around a corner and not in my line of sight, I also didn’t know what the hell it was at the time, just knew something was using automatic fire and killing my NPC followers very quickly(had at least 2 with me, if not more that all died). Later I saw in the message log it said "NPC has swung at a chicken walker***"or whatever message similar to that it was… I later died from it, but never actually saw it lol, it shot me in the dark. This was a couple runs ago though, not my current run.
But I also have 600 power and an integrated tool system. Now I dont need to find more batteries or an electronics book, because I also have a furnace and a joint-ratchet set. Now I go for a walk, come back, cook dinner, and then install my heavy duty frames. Gotta be honest, Id rather be a lizardman or tree than a cyborg from a lore perspective. but this is easily the most convenient upgrade.
This character has just sidestepped the megavehicle blockade. Ive also already moved my 4 wheels. I need to pop in 4 more at some point, and I dont have a boom crane.
Having some good success using grenades against secubots in labs.

I tried meth once… and holy chimera mutagen the comedown is pretty nasty, from rested it goes down to dead tired and half an hour later I got exhausted, maybe the trick is keep consuming it since it rises the sleep bar, it is also possible to die from the health stat?
I don’t think the coca plant will grow in the northeastern U.S. Maybe if you had a greenhouse.
Be careful, in my experience you have to be almost suicidally close to a tank drone to use the laptop on it. I killed the last one I encountered by keeping a vehicle between us. It drove up to the car, blasting all the way, and eventually the car exploded and wrecked the tank drone too.

Not gonna use it. too heavy and encumbering.

Isn’t Rivtech armour the least heavy and encumbering? My character would wear it unpowered on a regular basis because it was still amazing.
chicken walkers can be !FUN!, i once had one right outside the evac shelter on a fresh character, thankfully something else killed it due to monster infighting if i recall correctly.

Ah good point, I was probably not close enough to actually hack them, I always forget about that, as this is my first run where I’ve actually gotten to use the control laptop.
fireman jumpsuit. I found 2 pk underlays, but they both are badly damaged. And dont fit.
Ah that is actually what I thought at first but since I am using the 5.5.0 version of you mod I didn’t know if you added a new item or not.

The silent killer is: metal wreckage.
The tank drone walks through metal wreckage 3 times and collapses.
edit: metal wreckage is the ultimate spiked pit! Should we be allowed to construct metal wreckage? Metal wall requires 2 steel platings, 50 charges from welder, and a shallow pit. Metal wreckage could be done with same requirement plus a hacksaw.
Metal wreckages damage tank drones? Never knew that.

Spawned a new character, punk rock dude. Decent clothing and I wanted to try it out for roleplay purposes. Did a ‘fled the riots’ scenario and spawned in a house. Ran around town, looted dojo’s and bookstores and got myself situated in a church.
While reading books using light from the brazier, apparently the light attracted zombies through walls and they started to break down the windows. A NPC was fighting outside, I tried to convince the NPC to team up be he ended up turning hostile. Once he got killed by two feral predators I picked up his wooden spear and killed the rest of the zombies.
Picked up what I could and fled into a house. Barricaded it by breaking down dressers and bookshelves and using the wood to board up windows. The house had a basement with a gunsafe, luckily I looted a stethoscope from a pharmacy and used that to open it. Decent loot.
Spent a few days reading and got a good level of skills. Today I decided to run across town to loot food and better weapons. Main target was a museum. Looted pawnshops on the way there and found a scabbard which I took.
Once I got to the museum I found a dory (Greek spear) and replaced my knife spear that I crafted. Flintlock rifle, a real broadsword, various armor pieces (Gambeson, leather gauntlets, o-yoroi, armored boots) was what I found. Took them all and ran off to a nearby house with a spider basement in it.
I’m hoping to find a katana or a martial art book for the broadsword. Any idea where I could find a fencing book? Mansions aren’t an option atm.
My bad for the double post, just found a mansion and walked up to one of the windows. A zombie broke down the glass and attacked me. Dispatched it quickly, along with several other crawling zombies outside. pressed V to check if any fencing/HEMA books were visible. What I found was an empty m1911 and a .45 acp casing. m1911 on the zombie and .45 casing in the room the zombie came out of… Next to the chair it was near.
If it was intentional, its a hell of an immersive touch. Too bad my character is a psychopath.
Edit: Mansion is definitely new. Not one of the box-like randomly generated mansions with 10 dining rooms, this one actually makes sense. Found .38 and 9mm casings all over the place, including a shotgun hull outside. A human corpse with a torn french maid outfit was found inside the house. I just finished checking the first floor, so the second and basement floors are next.
Edit: Checked both upstairs and downstairs. Gotta say, i’m impressed. Anyway, I found a fencing book and a lot of food, so I’ll probably come back here and make it a base. Maybe.
I usually find fencing books pretty early, as I had fencing before I found a broadsword in a pawnshop/meuseum, on my current run. Unfortunately I don’t remember where I grabbed the book from, I think probably just from a bookstore/library or got lucky finding it in a house near the starting town next to my EVAC shelter where I spawned. It’s actually the first weapon based Martial Art I’ve used(besides KravMagaEdged, which I’m not sure it was even working with my machete I had at the time). It’s pretty nice being able to just say No don’t stop buitchering that corpse, or whatever task, while holding the broadsword and you can kill enemies while crafting without having to stop. i haven’t tried it on any Hulks or anything, but the straggling dog or tough zombie is easy to take down that way.
