Last night I decided to try out the bionic monster start on a lab challenge. Pumped points into strength (14), dexterity (10), boosted some of my starting stats (Unarmed, Dodge, Melee, Survival +3 to +5)
Did my usual mutant setup, and had a few points left so I put it into first aid to help me remove bionics later.
Started up, NPC had a shotgun, but I had a ugly face and I intimidated him into coming with me. Had a massive amount of useful stats, namely computer, electronics, and cooking, but I couldn’t use it since he hated me. His shotgun was useful, though.
Spending time gathering materials, I managed to find a pickaxe and used it to break into prisoner containment areas and retrieve first aid kits and painkillers to remove the pesky bionics that I had.
Mostly sustained myself on water I could drain from corpses and mutant body parts from the thousands of cloning vats that I stumbled upon. Became quite heavily mutated, but thankfully it was mostly just stat boosters and useful utility mutations like road runner and full night vision.
Pickaxed my way out with the NPC in tow and made haven in a secluded warehouse just southwest of the lab (Which is weirdly spawned RIGHT next to another lab). Trained my first aid and other skills to remove bionics. Took a Oxycontin, waited 30 minutes and snorted some meth, smoked a cig and removed the faulty bionics.
Afterwards I installed the other bionics I got, things like hydraulic muscles, muscle augments, telescopic eyes, and various power CBM’s.
Kinda funny that my bionic monster removed his deformities and has the glorious mutation. Guess we all have hope, huh?
Anyway as of right now i’m trying to make a vehicle that can transport me, my NPC and my stuff to a cave on the other side of a city, that way I can hopefully find some good armor and martial arts books.
I’m thinking of using scrap parts to modify a quad bike and adding trunks and plating it with armor.
