What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Just started on the Android version. I will go for a Low Str, High dex bashing build and see what I can do.

Currently struggling to survive as a shower victim because it’s freezing outside and I’m too cold to go back into town to find more cloth. My hands and face are freezing off.
I found public baths with a car near it that I use as a shelter. Been foraging arounf for some time now just to don’t starve.
A tin can and glass bottle help me get water out of the toilets and nuts and dead snakes give the nutrition.
Once it stops snowing I will need to make a campfire and warm up and then check the outskirts of town for a proper bag, a pot and more tools and instructional books.

Luckily I found a glock and tons of 9mm bullets in the house I woke up in so I’m armed for the emergency.

That sounds pretty intense. See if you can get your survival up to 3 and you could craft a stone pot.

That sounds like good plan. Unfortunately I have to move extremely slowly for one because my speed is reduced drastically by thr cold and because wolves, dogs or god forbid a Moose will catch up quickly because of that.

Early game CDDA is always my favourite when you’re not yet a demi god with the arsenal of a small nation.

Agreed. I decided to also do a shower victim on a really bad day and I’m proud to say that I survived on the first try. Unfortunately I ran into a wasp house. Fortunately, the house next to it had a first aid kit and cough medicine. After the flu went away the next day, I went around and found a AR-15 and a shotgun with 60 rounds of 5.56. Cleared the town out and wasp house, found an inactive laser turret.

doing a shower victim as well, had a few bad starts before i managed to stabilize. that is, the house i spawned in had some clothes and a bottle of disinfectant i grabbed before the place burned down around me. and the NPC that spawned with me had a gun so his shooting distracted the Zeds while i ran.

My broken (and mutated) cyborg escaped from the lab, and ended up near a National Guard Camp. Some crazy, well, things, fired their .308 at me and nearby zombies alike.

What is funny, almost every NPC I met was freaked out by my deformed Frankenstein’s monster appearance. The only ones who didn’t run were those who asked me to kill their moms.

Yesterday, right before I approached Dane’s mother, dolio ran in and shot the zombie in the head before asking me to kill her own zombie mother.

face palm

I just started in an evac shelter that is literally next door to a FEMA camp. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea?

Zombie grenadier survived my C4!

I survived a grenade hack.

Curse whoever is the motherfucker who thought about shockers.

Don’t you like the way they completely destroy your arms?

How the hell you guessed???

Recently died while driving my pickup down the road and a grenade manhack flew through the windshield off screen, blew off my head.

well i got very powerful very fast. :V broke into a bank, had the military bionic recipe book. next i cracked open a crate outside a pump station and guess what was in it? power armor! and THEN i went into a random wasp house and guess what was in there?! a power armor helmet!

Think this might end up being my best character yet. I guess starting with some skills is actually really good… Things you learn when you random characters.

Screenshot maybe?

Finally done setting up the food area’s roof. Around 15k nails used, and more or less about 25k volume of two by fours. Yeesh.

Now, to decorate the place with furniture, and add the shelves and display racks and move in the food items inside.

Truth be told, once this is done I reckon my survivor deserves a break. Rather uncomfortable letting every other item just sit outside, but dammit I want to spend some time exploring.

Aaaaaaaand that’s one building down.

BEHOLD!

Cafeteria/bar/kitchen/food storage complete. Pardon for the horrid edit job. Don’t have an artifact that can see through everything. Only the front area, the cafeteria is lit with sunlight. Everything else is in the dark, using a head torch to light the area up. Considering setting up some atomic lamps to light the place up.

Anyway, east is the main entrance. Two dining areas. Didn’t really have an interior layout in mind. South dining area has some misc. category items; glasses, plates, that sorta thing. Anyway, had to build two walls to separate the two sides, as I was unable to build a roof over that side since the reinforced glass windows don’t count as a wall.

In the center is the kitchen. Dual RV kitchen units and FOODCO kitchen buddies, no reason for it. Onboard chem lab as well. Cooking tools set here, as well as cooking recipe books in one of the cupboards. The cooking rigs is powered by a diesel engine and a truck alternator.

North of the kitchen is a sort of break room for workers. Like I said before, I want the place to look lived in, and in the future I want to have some NPCs guarding the place, so the area looks like it has workers. North of that is a broom closet.

South-west is a bar. Was pondering if I should have placed windows there, but I reckon no windows and two fireplaces is cozier. Wooden kegs to have some choice booze stocked inside.

North of the bar is a sort of workshop for booze and other stuff. Fermenting vats, and a place to store all the assorted booze. Charcoal kilns to make charcoal, and a crate to store them.

Finally, northwest side is the food storage. Food placed in racks according to how I want to sort all the different food items together. The place where the building is set used to be a lab, and there was a dissector in this corner. No way to remove it, so just built a vehicle with a board to block out the dissector.

Anyway, the stairs that lead down to the lab have been sealed off since it was in the tavern area. That said, made some stairs down on the food storage area. The lab is an ice lab, so the room below is for perishable food storage.

And that’s that. This took a while.

Walls are made from stone. Initial idea was to make simple steel walls, but finding steel platings took some time. Rocks are easier to find, and they’re slightly stronger than simple steel. Ceiling is plain wood. Two by fours are easy to get.

Started at Spring, day 1, year 2, more or less. Currently spring, day 58. That said, sorted out every item my survivor had, and destroyed the steel walls that were build since I decided to go for steel. Survivor and her slaves drank atomic coffee every once in a while. Surprisingly, and out of curiosity I used debug to check on the NPC slaves, it seemed like the NPCs seemed to recover from radiation faster than my survivor.

Whew. My survivor will take a vacation and do some exploring. Still got so many buildings to do…!

I finished clearing my 2nd Lab. Found 2 personal Teleporters around the facility and 45 Mini-Nukes in the “reward” room.

Mininukes are a pretty decent reward for labs, since even at low item spawn rate they still seem to be numerous. Way better than two other lab “reward” rooms.

I actually got a Fusion Gun, 220 fusion cells/packs, Laser Pistol, Laser Rifle and a Quantum Solar Panel at the bottom of my 1st Lab (with default spawn rate). I’m quite happy with that loot, too. From what I gather, the 3rd possible reward is just a bunch of CBMs? That sounds rather disappointing when compared to the other 2 - especially when you can find CBMs in other rooms of the Lab (behind the hack-to-open reinforced glass). But yeah, the number of reward 'Nukes is surprisingly high. A friend suggested disassembling them for Plutonium Cells.

Oh, I forgot to congratulate/compliment you on finishing your cafeteria. Great piece of work, Azrad. Lookin’ good.
